Chapter 15 | AMALGAMATION: Dragons, Clones,... And Alters

Last time on Atonement Rebirth: The higher-ups of the Azur Lane base make plans to use against the Red Axis. Enterprise unfortunately collapses but is quickly nursed back to health. Y/n finally was able to talk with Enterprise but was interrupted after the base was attacked by not only the Sirens, but clones of Shepherd. From far away, the entire event was being watched by more unknown individuals...

[Y/n]: "-Activate DRAGON TRIGGER!"

The two remaining enemy clones transformed into dragons just like the first two they've encountered. However, these two seemed to be much larger than the last. The sinners responded to the change and all four transformed as well...

[Y/n]: "Andrian, with me! We'll handle the first one!"

[Andrian]: "Roger!"

[Y/n]: "Ling, Leo, handle the other one! Monarch, Chi An, support fire!"

[Shepherd1]: "KILL THEM!!!"

[Shepherd2]: "Eliminate the sinners!"

The two clones bellowed loudly...

[Y/n]: "Shut the fuck up and fight!" He roared.

Both sides charged against each other, with no intentions of backing down. Being the fastest, Linghun flew over Shepherd2 and grabbed him from behind with his talons, allowing Leonidas to attack with a breath attack made of light. After getting shot by Leonidas' breath attack, the second clone thrashed around in the air, causing Linghun to lose his hold and be forced to back away. The clone then followed up by unleashing a bright red beam attack and spun around to hit a wider area, both Leonidas and Linghun were hit by this attack. Chi An made sure to use up all of her firepower and focused heavily on this clone. Shepherd2 tries to attack her, only for Linghun to appear from his blindspot and grab the clone by the neck with his razor-sharp jaws.

On the other side, Y/n and Andrian were also having a bit of a scuffle with Shepherd1. The two sinners resorted in hitting and running, striking at the clone when he least expected it. Annoyed by their actions, the clone heavily targeted Y/n and tried to grab the Gluttony Sin with his talons, only for Y/n to grab onto his opponent with his own talons. Forced into such a close and uncomfortable position, the two resorted to snap and bite at each other while rapidly flapping to keep themselves airborne. Andrian would have used a fire breath attack but he refused to do so in fear of accidentally hitting Y/n. All he could do was fly around and look for an opening. The same could be said for Monarch.

Despite their power in numbers, the sinners were having a hard time fighting against the two clones. Compared to the last time they battled, they weren't as strong and were much smaller. But now they've seemed to have gotten a few upgrades and a growth spurt.
