The Owl House (Lilithxreader)

After a while watching the grudgby game y/n was really confused about the rules, she'll probably never understand it, like hexes hold'em. King of course cheered for Eda so y/n made the snaggleback cheer for Lilith, which he reluctantly did.

Eda tried scoring a goal but Hooty blocked he ball.-"Hooty! Whose side are you on?"

"I'm an unbiased participant, hoot-hoot."- he replied. Lilith grabbed the ball, successfully avoiding Eda and Hooty, scoring a goal. King marked the score, now tied 5-5.

"Point goes to Lilith. We're at a tie here, folks."- King was on charge of the comments too. Eda and Lilith both panted in exhaustion, y/n laughed.

"You girls look like you were a hundred years old."- but her laugh stopped when both of them frowned at her.

"Their ages combined makes almost a century actually."- King whispered.

"Even my resistance is better."- the snaggleback said.

Y/n thought the two little demons could play grudgby too against each other, Luz and her could cheer for them.

"Time for one more play."- Hooty announced.

"Taking your time. Nervous?"- Lilith told Eda.

"Not today, sister."

Hooty blew the whistle, Eda and Lilith both jumped for the ball. Eda grabbed it and ran, Hooty emerged from the ground but Eda stepped on his face, using him as a launchpad.

"HootyOw!"- Lilith leaned on his face after jumping too low... And Eda had scored the goal.

"Ha ha! Game over! Team owl house rules supreme!"- the demons jumped excitedly.

"That was great, Eda!"- y/n exclaimed.

"Yes! Still got it! Still got the skills to pay the bills!"- Eda was happy too.

"No!"- but Lilith didn't seem happy at all as she got on her knees, slamming her fists at the ground, pretty dramatic if you ask y/n.-"No! I can't go back to the emperor empty-handed."- and then she understood, Lilith was there to capture Eda with a... Curious plan, some kind of bet, not to play of course.

Eda took her ring off and held it out to Lilith.-"Here. Tell them I put up a heck of a struggle."-Lilith took the ring.

"I will be back for you. And next time, I won't be alone."- Lilith said.

"I'll be waiting."- Eda replied. Lilith looked over her shoulder at her sister, next at y/n and then walked into the forest.

"Wait Lilith!"- y/n ran behind her when Eda entered the house.-"are you okay?"- cause she looked really stressed back there, that emperor must be really bothersome.

"I am. Thank you."- she looked at y/n.

"You were great playing too. Did you see the snaggleback? I kidnapped him a couple days ago, I wanted to bring him with me but he refused to come dressed like that."- y/n said.

Lilith smiled.-"I did. Thanks for making him cheer for me."- she started to walk again.

"Wait, stay with me for a while."- y/n hugged her from behind.-"I missed you."

"Oh... I guess I can stay for a few minutes then."- Lilith turned to look at her.

Y/n smiled not breaking the hug.-"I missed seeing your beautiful eyes."

"Yours are beautiful too."- Lilith hugged her back.-"everything about you is beautiful."- their noses played against each other, y/n had a flashback and wished only for not being interrupted this time.

"Everything about you is far beyond beautiful, Lilith."- she whispered and closed her eyes to softly press their lips together.

Lilith deepened the kiss after a few seconds, y/n felt time stopped, her heart raced, it felt like flying, like every single cliché she ever read on books coming true.

Lilith softly broke the kiss and sighed. They stayed in the warmth of the hug for a while.-"You need to clean my lipstick from your face."- Lilith smiled at the sight.

"Sure."- y/n didn't actually listened, she still felt in heaven.-"I'll do it later."

"I thought that kiss was for the winner."

"Don't worry, I'll give Eda one almost as good as this one, maybe even better."- y/n said.

"What?"- Lilith frowned.

"It was a joke."- y/n laughed.-"you're the winner for me, you're the only one getting kisses."- Lilith sighed not finding that funny.

"Can I have another one then?"

"Lilith, you can do whatever you want with me."- y/n accepted her fate, she was lost after that. Lilith smiled and started another kiss.

"Hoot hoot nice lipstick."- Hooty said and y/n widened her eyes. She quickly wiped her lips with her sleeve.

"Thanks Hooty, am I good now?"

"Yes, I'm so happy! Our plan was successful."- he smiled.

"It really was." she smiled and got inside the house.

"Y/n"- Luz smiled and started to talk about her day at school.

A couple days after y/n was walking home with Morton after delivering Eda's potions.

"I've never seen one before but it's so much different from what the books shows."- Morton was talking about the snaggleback who was on his shoulders.

"Isn't he the cutest demon in the world?"- y/n smiled.-"I didn't expect you two to get along so fast."

"It's my charm."- Morton said making y/n laugh.

"Would you like to come inside for a while? It's not very late."- she said when they arrived.

"Okay but just for a while. I don't wanna bother Eda."- he said as they got inside.

"Surprise!"- King jumped from inside a cake.-"oh it's just you. Where are Luz and Eda?"

Y/n turned the lights on. Morton and the snaggleback sat at the couch after greeting King.

"How could I know King? They're always practicing magic in the weirdest places. But thanks for the surprise, it was great."

"Yes buddy, the cake was an excellent idea."- Morton told him.

"Thanks but Eda and I were waiting for Luz to surprise her, I don't understand why they're not here."- King was worried.

"Maybe Eda took her somewhere for another surprise before coming to see all of this."- the snaggleback said, and that would've been normal y/n and him weren't worried at all.

"I'm not sure... But I'll hide again and wait for them."

"I wanna be part of the surprise too."- the red demon was excited.

After a while Morton put the little creatures inside the cake and left. Y/n went to sleep after a couple hours waiting in vain for Eda and Luz.

"Y/n?"- the snaggleback touched her face. It was early in the morning.-"wake up, I think Luz is not fine."- that's what she feared the most, in a second she was running downstairs.

"What happened?"- she ran to Luz who was being hugged by Hooty and King while she cried. Luz hugged her and after a few minutes she started to speak.

Y/n's eyes only widened as she heard how the same Lilith she kissed before was the one who cursed Eda years ago and how she used her cousin to capture her now, not only that but Eda running out of magic and becoming the owl beast for the rest of her days. Too much to process, it made sense then, that was Lilith's mistake, the thing she regretted, the curse, but y/n didn't understand her way to 'fix it'.

Now what? She was the adult there, Luz had enough trauma for an entire lifetime, what would she do now? She knew Lilith would do anything for the emperor but she still felt betrayed for the way she decided to get Eda, y/n wasn't ready for that. It wasn't her business but she felt hurt. Eda had to deal with so much and suffer for years, Lilith probably did too being full of guilt alone. Y/n didn't know which one was worse but she was beyond mad because Luz could've died, and that was pretty much her business.
