Chapter 15: Safe

Tiffany had no choice but to run away. She doesn't want to stay there any longer. She ran and ran with all her energy into the deserted forest. All she saw were trees and more trees. It was like there's no ending at all and she couldn't find any roads.

Slowly she stopped running and fell on the dirty ground which in turn gave her a scraped knee.

'Where should I go now? How will I be able to find Oppa?' Tiff thought to herself.

She began to cry helplessly. Just when she thought things couldn't get any worse the piercing pain came back and this time it doubled. Tiffany hug her stomach and tried to stop herself from shouting in pain but the pain is just too energy draining.

"Aegi ah~ what's wrong? Are you giving me a punishment for giving up?" Tiff sobbed and tried to stand up.

The moment she stood she felt the world spinning and her visions is getting blurry until she become unconscious.

??? POV:

My 5 years old brother and I were on our way home from fishing when I spotted a figure lying on the forest ground just a few meters from us.

"Jun Soo ah~ did you spot what I saw?" I asked my brother who diverted his attention to where I was looking at.

He had that shocked look on his tiny face. "Are you okay Jun?" I laughed at him until he glared at me so I stopped laughing.

"It's not funny hyung. I think that's a young lady" he pointed at the figure.

I just started laughing. "How do you know it's a young lady? It could be an old woman you know" I told him.

"It's really not funny hyung. Let's go check it out" he said and pulled me closer to where the figure is lying.

"Stay away Jun" I ordered him and crouched down infront of the figure.

It's hundred percent a young lady because her hair is not white. Instead it's brown in color and very long. She had her hair over her face so I couldn't see her face.

"Miss are you okay?" I shook her shoulder lightly but she didn't move.

Looking at her whole figure, I spotted bruises on her exposed legs and arms.

"Jun Soo what should we do?" I asked.

"Well she looks harmless. Let's bring her back to mum. Maybe she could help the poor lady" Jun Soo suggested.

I think it's a good idea. I took a deep breath and with the help from my brother we managed to put her on my back.

"Let's get home" I said and stood up easily.

She's so light and I hope she feel comfortable on my back. I wrapped my hands securely under her thighs and started walking home with my brother beside me. END OF POV

Tiffany finally stirred from her deep sleep. She was still dizzy and oblivious of what happened to her yesterday. Yes she was asleep for the whole day and it's already morning.

"W-where am I?" she weakly asked to no one but a voice answered her.

"You're safe in my house dear" it was a woman in her 40s.

She approached the still dazed lady with a tray of porridge and milk.

"W-who are you?" Tiff asked nervously as she sat up and scooted far away.

"Don't worry dear, I won't hurt you" the woman smiled and placed the tray on the table next to the bed.

"How did I get here?" Tiff asked carefully.

"My Sons found you unconscious in the forest so they brought you here. I've treated your bruises and cuts so you should eat now" she smiled and sat on the bed.

"I can't trust you. I've been cheated before so I won't trust anyone" Tiff said coldly.

"Suit yourself dear but you can't neglect the baby in your womb. Please eat once you feel hungry" the woman smiled sadly and left the room.

Tiffany sighed and lay back on the bed. She closed her eyes and went back to dreamland.

Outside:

"Mum is she awake yet?" Myung Soo or L, the guy who saved Tiff earlier asked the woman who just stepped out of the room.

"Yeah but she won't eat. It looks like she thought we are the bad person" Mrs. Lee smiled sadly and settled on the chair in the dining area.

"I'll try to convince her mum so don't be too sad. I'm sure she's traumatic of whatever just happened to her" L comforted his mum and hug the woman lovingly.

"Hyung! Is the pretty noona awake yet?" Jun Soo asked excitedly as he ran to join the family hug.

The two chuckled. "I don't know. Let's go wake her up" L grinned and scooped his brother up and together they enter the room that Tiffany is in.

"Why don't you wake her up? If it's me I'm sure she'll freak out" L joked and placed Jun Soo on the bed beside the sleeping girl.

"Arraso...Noona~ wake up now" Jun Soo said a little too loud while shaking Tiffany's body.

"Khun Oppa~ don't leave me please" Tiff mumbled in her sleep as she started to sweat.

"I guess she's having a bad dream...Jun go take a basin of warm water and towel" L ordered and the boy ran out very fast.

L's POV:

I sat beside the girl and tapped her face softly a few times. She finally opens her eyes.

"Are you alright Miss?" I asked and her next move gave me a big surprise. She slapped me hard.

"Don't hurt me please. I didn't do anything to you" she said with trembling voice and hugged her knees in fear.

If she isn't in this bad state I swore I could have shouted at her but I won't. She's in too much fear and it's not every day I get to meet beautiful girls like her in this village.

"Don't worry Miss, I'm not going to hurt you....I was the one who saved you" I explained and she finally looked up to meet my eyes.

"Are you telling the truth?" she asked softly.

I only nodded and smiled sincerely. She looked sad and in pain but for the first time in my life I saw the most angelic and beautiful smile. She smiled at me with her eyes turning crescent shape. It fits her face perfectly.

How can someone look so beautiful and angelic? My heart was beating in a very fast rate and I think I have fallen in love. Is this what they called love at first sight?
