The Jungle

Schmorble woke up; he saw a gaping hole in the side of the ship; many of his co-workers were dead, his commander included. He began to leave the ship, and the sun instantly blinded his eyes. He noticed the warm, beautiful jungle around him, and hearing animal noises he'd never heard, he began to take in his surroundings; he was on top of a beautiful, giant canyon overlooking the jungle. He immediately saw something shocking, a real-life dinosaur, a herd of brachiosaurus grazing at the tree line. They were singing beautiful songs, he couldn't believe it. "H-h-holy shit.. Dinosaurs?" Schmorble fell to the ground in shock; he couldn't believe his eyes. However, something slightly farther down the canyon roared, a terrifying screech he had never heard; he saw what looked like birds fleeing from the jungle trees. Schmorble grabbed a rifle from the wreckage and carefully began heading down the canyon. Schmorble noticed a putrid, disgusting odor emitting from something nearby; as he crawled down the canyon, he saw a mangled, rotting lizard carcass, "What the hell is this. A damn T-rex?" What looked to be a 12 ft. tall carcass of a tyrannosaurid lay on the jungle floor; he looked and noticed many bite marks across its body; he thought to himself, "Huh, looks like this fucker has been eaten; that's good for me. I hope.." Schmorble continued down the canyon; he noticed it getting dark, so he decided to make a small shelter out of sticks and leaves beside a tree. Then he fell asleep.
