Things had been going well since Stone and I were back on track. Eddie and I were working on rebuilding our friendship and no conflict had arose so far.

I was currently with Stone up in his room, listening to him play guitar.

"What's your favorite song by Pearl Jam?" He joked and I giggled quietly.

"Garden." I said in a whisper, laying my head on his shoulder.

Stone gently strummed the notes to Garden and I listened, watching his fingers move slowly over the chords. This was my favorite song, and it made me extremely happy and it made me reminisce about all the good memories we had together.

"I love you." I whispered to him after he was done playing. He set his guitar aside and kissed me slowly.

I giggled and quietly scooted a couple of inches away from him to stay put. He chuckled quietly.

"Babe, me and the guys are wanting to get some ice cream, but they were checking if it was okay with you first. You down?"

I shook away the nervous thoughts in my head and quietly answered, "Sure."

"It'll be okay, I promise. Everyone just kind of wants everything to be alright again, if that makes sense."

I nodded and we both stood off of his bed and he took my hand and led me downstairs.

The guys all sat in different parts of the room and I could see Eddie peering at me secretly although I was staring dead at him.

I grabbed Stone's hand and followed closely behind him.

"You guys ready to go?" Jeff broke the tense silence.

"Well actually I'm waiting on someone." Eddie's deep voice filled my ears and I shook surprisingly.

Who was he waiting on? Maybe just an old buddy.

"Well alright, I guess we can hold off for a few." Jeff plopped back down on the couch and turned his attention back to the television.

I let go of Stone's hand and took a seat at the table Eddie was sat at. I couldn't stand the constant awkwardness between us now that I started reappearing back over at their place.

"Hey," I tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Hey Miyala." He revealed a smile that touched the corner of his cheeks.

I could see Stone observing us both. Not in a 'I'm watching you' sort of way, but in a protective boyfriend type manner. Once he realized things were okay, he joined Jeff over on the couch.

"How you been doin'?" Eddie tapped his finger on the table.

"I'm good, you?" I hung my head low in order to avoid eye contact.

"I'm alright-" He trailed off suddenly.

"Why are you hanging your head down? It's okay, you can look at me." I raised my head hesitantly, my eyes reaching his piercing blue ones.

We smiled at each other and suddenly I felt a rush of relief wash over me. This was a good start.

There was a sudden tap on the front door that startled everyone. Eddie immediately reacted and hopped out of his seat to answer.

Everyone observed as Eddie rushed over to the door and he opened it slowly.

There stood a girl. She was beautiful. Eddie pulled her closer to him and wrapped her up in a hug. My palms turned sweaty and my face rose its temperature.
