(Y/n's POV)
I let out a gasp of pain as I'm tossed into a circular glass cell. Tony Stark let it slip earlier that I'm on something called the Hellicarrier. It looks like a giant plane, although I'm not sure as to why they brought me here of all places.
"We'll be back to talk to you later," a man with an eyepatch tells me before departing to check on other matters.
As soon as they leave me alone, I attempt to use my powers to break the glass. That idea fails when I realize that the cage blocks my magic. Even if I do manage to access my shapeshifting abilities, they won't help me escape the cage.
I let out a sigh of annoyance as I slide down the wall of the cell. I can't believe I finally got caught and by the Avengers, no less. They also insisted on taking my bracelet, which was the last thing my adoptive mom gave me before she died.
After sitting alone for what feels like hours, the man with the eyepatch returns. "What's your name?" he asks me.
"Danielle. Danielle Myers," I quickly lie.
"Well, Ms. Myers, I'm Director Fury, and I would love to have a conversation with you about why you were fighting two of my associates," Fury tells me. I ignore the serious look on his face and decide to see how far I can push him.
"Yeah, I rather not," I say, managing to keep a bored expression on my face.
"That wasn't an offer," Fury announces as the cell door opens.
Fury signals the guards, and before I can even think about teleporting out, I have a pair of power dampening cuffs around my wrists. "What's the matter? Don't you trust me?" I ask Fury while putting on my best pouty face.
"Not in the least," Fury responds with a disapproving frown.
The guards surround me and escort me through the various hallways until we arrive at an interrogation room. Fury opens the door and invites me inside with a wave of his hand. I cautiously enter the room to see multiple people sitting at a big wooden table. I recognize all of them from the news during the battle of New York. Steve Rodgers and Tony Stark, who I already met, along with Natasha Romanoff are all staring at me. I don't recall if the news called them by their real names, but I have ways of figuring things out.
"Uh, hey guys," I say in a singsong voice as I partially wave to them.
"Please sit down, Ms. Myers," Fury says. He makes it sound like a request, but I know it's really a demand. I glance down at the empty chair in front of me before taking a seat. My powers are still bound, and I put my cuffed wrists on top of the table. "Let's start with the easy questions first," Fury suggests. "Who do you work for?"
I scoff at the stupidness of the question. "I believe you already know the answer," I say with certainty in my voice.
"HYDRA," Fury responds. It's a statement, not a question. "Why did you attack two of my associates?"
I assume he's talking about Iron Man and Captain America, so I answer honestly. "Captain America knocked over my coffee while battling."
"You attacked us because I accidentally knocked over your cup of coffee while fighting off two HYDRA agents?" Captain America questions in disbelief.
"That coffee cost over five dollars," I reveal with a shrug.
Fury interrupts the conversation before Captain America can say anything else. "Why would a young woman such as yourself be working for HYDRA?"
"Why would a group of people who are supposed to be protecting earth work with S.H.I.E.L.D?" I fire back.
"They're working with us because we also work to protect the earth from threats. HYDRA is one of the biggest threats out there. They're the ones that murder and destroy people's lives," Fury explains rather calmly.
