Meilin, Rollan, Conor, and Abeke all stumbled into the doors of Greenhaven. After a long 5 months of war, a huge break would be very much needed for the four.
"That... doing that- every year, too much," Rollan stuttered, out of breath.
"Yep- thank Tellun the whole thing's over now," Meilin agreed.
Conor stood back up from his slouched posture and dusted himself off. He turned to face the whole of the Great Fortress that stood before him. His home. It felt so empty now that the Greencloaks were off doing their own things. Free from the clutches of war for at least a year or two.
Well, what were they supposed to do now? They were always in the same position, war after war after war. So used to the battlefield; that they don't know what to do when they have free time.
"So..." he began. "What do we do now?"
The other three looked up at him, thinking.
"Well- we could... I'm- I...don't know," Abeke confessed, staring up at the chandelier that rested over them.
"Well, the only thing I want to do now is get away from under that chandelier," Rollan shivered. "It always looks like it's about to fall down after a bunch of Greencloaks danced on it."
He slowly inched away from the other three, being dramatic.
"I've never realized how dumb he actually is," Meilin sighed.
"But- in all seriousness, what now?" Conor asked, breaking the dramatic scene Rollan was making.
Meilin looked over to a small resting area in front of them that caught her eye. It was very miniature, and could probably only fit her, Rollan, Conor, and Abeke, their spirit animals in a passive state. There was only one sofa, cyan-colored with gold outlines.
"We can sit down there and think I guess," She suggested, motioning her hand over to the living area.
"I suppose it's better than nothing," Conor shrugged.

"I've got nothing," Rollan sighed, after ten minutes of resting in silence.
The other three looked at him with the same, bored faces, before Abeke's face lit up.
"I know!" She exclaimed, jumping from her spot and walking so all three of her friends could see her.
"Go on..." Conor muttered.
"Well, we're all so bored without the people (and animals, Worthy) that we met along the way," She explained. "So why don't we bring them to us?"
"WHAT!?" The other three shouted in sync, making Abeke cover her ears from the sudden yell.
"Well, we could meet up with them and take them back to Greenhaven. Even... even the villains," she continued.
"Well, I guess it makes sense," Conor shrugged.
"How?" Meilin asked.
"We're all miserable and bored without them. Plus, even if this whole meeting up thing doesn't work out we can still enjoy gathering up our friends and enemies!"
Meilin sighed.
"I suppose it's a good idea. Rollan?"
"Yeah, I'm down," He smiled.
"Great, we can pick them up tomorrow once we have Olvan's permission!"
As they walked away, they noticed Meilin staring into space. Rollan ruffled her hair. "What's wrong Little Miss Rich Kid?" She slapped his hand away and sighed. "It's just that... We're reconnecting with everyone..." They all fell silent. They haven't thought about that one little snag. They were inviting everyone. Even the-
"Villains," Conor said. "Even though it seems like a bad idea... Who knows... Maybe they've changed. If they're still..." Abeke had a determined smile on her face. "We'll befriend everyone."
Rollan cocked an eyebrow. "Everyone? Even... Oh come on. It's not like-"
Conor walked ahead of the group and turned, staring right back into their disbelieving eyes. "I know she's alive. I can feel it. And I know we'll befriend her. All of them." He turned confidently back around and set off again. "We'll start with the Redcloaks. We owe them so much." Meilin smiled. "I'd like to meet them. Abeke says they're good people. And... you're right." She continued, nodding at the Niloan. This was a surprise. "We can do this." Rollan stared at her in mock disbelief. "A trusting Meilin?! That's like a nice-smelling Conor, or a confident Abeke, or a"
"Or a funny Rollan," Meilin said rolling her eyes and breaking into a run. "Come on, let's go! I don't know how Olvan could say-"
"No. For the last time, absolutely not!"
"But Olvan!" Rollan protested. "These are good people, and-"
"No! Greenhaven can't accommodate more people!"
"Yeah, and you can host all this coffee and all these Greencloaks," Rollan said rolling his eyes. "C'mon, can you just let us?"
"No! I said no! The only way you could ever pull off this audacious plan is if you ran away in the dead of night! Now go!"
"Great Rollan! You had to run your mouth, didn't you!"
Meilin had been shouting at him like this for what seemed like hours. Rollan shouted back. "I was only trying to make a point! If you have a better idea now, be my guest! I guess we'll just have to listen to Olvan's advice and just-"
"That's it."
"Abeke, what are you doing?"
Her eyes ablaze with excitement, stood up and grabbed their bags and bonding tokens. She gave Meilin's and Rollan's theirs and strapped Conor's staff and her bow to the bags. She sprinted out of the room and came back with food, canteens, clothing, arrows, a lasso, a glider (a pair of wings that one can retract on command which works as a hang-glider), Greenhaven's best longswords, daggers, and axes in her arms. She gave them each their respective weapons and supplies, and rapidly packed her own.
Conor's eyes lit up in realization. "We'll take Olvan's advice. We'll-"
"Run away in the dead of night." Meilin and Rollan whispered in unison. They put on their tokens.
The group packed in silence, quickly, and efficiently. Once they finished, they cracked open the window and stepped out.
Abeke gave Meilin the lasso and glider before touching her bow and leaping out of sight. Conor did the same as Meilin wrapped the lasso around the spire and pulled herself up. She leaped soundlessly from the rooftop and glided through the air, along with Rollan, who kept close, occasionally pulling her up so she didn't touch the ground. Meilin had the lasso anyway, but it was a nice gesture.
Finally, they got past the gates. The group touched down gracefully as they took a last look at the castle. It was the last for a long time. Conor exhaled. "Old friend..."
Abeke continued, and so did Rollan and Meilin. "This is a farewell."
"... It will not be the last."
"Let us meet again in the future."
With a sense of melancholy, the group bounded into the forest, towards a brighter time than the past.
