It had been maybe a week or two since the wedding. Tasha was nervous, which was normal, she had to be when she kept breaking Olvan's coffee pot (accident of course-) it got dangerous then... but this was a different kind of nervous, a butterfly in her stomach, heart beating faster then normal, cheeks heated up kind of nervous. What was wrong with her?
She knew she had shoved it to the back of her head... but she knew. Why did that one memory play over in her head, that one dance, the one she didn't want to end. But it did... so now it played over and over in her head, it wasn't annoying, it was just nerve-racking. Ugh, she had never felt like this, and she couldn't tell annnnnyone, could she? She would die of embarrassment if she tried to tell him. But who could she tell-?
"Oh!! I know!" Tasha exclaimed jumping up from where she had flopped on her bed, Ninani squawked and fluttered her wings. "I know what to do Ninani! Wait here, I'll be back."
"Shane!!" Tasha called knocking on his door. She was nervous about telling someone, but... if anyone, Shane would know what to do, what with his... 'not crush' on Abeke.
She kept knocking, and when he did open the door she almost knocked on his shoulder. She squeaked in surprise and hurriedly lowered her hand. Shane got creepy when he was angry, worse than coffee-hungry zombie Olvan (which was saying something).
"Shan-" Tasha started, but he cut her off.
"Is this about when you and Dawson were-" That was where Tasha cut him off, "SHUSH!" She whisper-yelled at him. Then she pushed past him into his room. He rolled his eyes but followed her and closed the door.
Shane's room was so neat- wow, so much neater than Tasha's room, or the kitchen. Tasha tore her eyes away from the neat room (it was very, very hard) and focused on Shane.
"So what did he do, kiss you?" Shane asked bluntly.
Tasha almost fainted or shrieked, or did she do both... not sure really. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!!" Shane exclaimed, Tasha crossed her arms and lifted her chin in a terrible impression of Meilin.
"Sit down, like anywhere but-" Shane trailed off, right as Tasha sat on the very old antique chair in the corner of the room.
Soon after sitting down, there was a familiar creaking noise (things were about to break, Tasha knew that sound a bit too well) and the chair broke. Tasha sat among the wood chips. "But there..." Shane finished with a shake of his head. He brought his palm up to his face.
"Sorrrrry!" Tasha hopped up, and she decided to just sit on the bed next to Shane. He glanced at her semi-uncomfortable/confused.
"So I'm guessing either he didn't kiss you, or he did and you're freaking out about it." He clarified.
"He did not!" Tasha shot him a disgruntled, grumpy, 'yeah I know the most disappointing thing ever' face.
Shane chuckled, HE CHUCKLED? WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS GUY!!
"Right, now tell me what happened"
Tasha of course told him everything. How much she had loved the dance at the wedding, how she got all nervous when anyone mentioned Dawson's name, or when she saw him nearby.
"Well you have a crush, obviously" Shane declared after listening for about fifteen minutes.
"Wow, thanks. I didn't know that," Tasha rolled her eyes, but still, what was she gonna do?
"Well, don't end up like me," Shane said half-joking, half-serious.
"You mean like how you act around Abeke?" She asked him.
