Renjunie.

Jaemin has always called him Jeno, Jeno-ya, Lee Jeno, and on rare occasions samoyed. He's not sure how he feels about being called a dog breed but Jaemin always coos when he calls him that so he'll let it slide for now. His name has never been altered into a cute version despite the amount of years they've known each other. Why does Renjun get to have what Jeno lacks?

Jaemin seems to really like Renjun and therefore he should too but something makes him absolutely dislike him. Jeno isn't hateful, he's actually considered to be pretty nice and he overall doesn't bother himself with hating on strangers but Renjun makes all that go away.

Renjun is shallow and judgmental while Jaemin is sweet and loving. Renjun doesn't deserve all the care Jaemin is putting into him. Renjun doesn't deserve Jaemin.

Jeno's life has been pretty good so far. When he was younger, he had been casted for a multitude of commercials and he even had the opportunity to play a minor role in a drama and to be one of the faces for the kid sizes of adidas. He wasn't one of those overworked kids whose parents were milking him for money either. He had a passion and he was successfully engaging in it. He was a happy normal kid with a pretty cool hobby.

Jeno wanted to try out his luck in pursuing a career in acting. He was still young so it would be more like a side hustle until he graduated or got a big role that set him for life. He and his older sister had managed to land a spot in a relatively well known entertainment company that would help promote and find them gigs. Jeno was still really young but everything in his life seemed to be set in his favor. Perhaps he's one of those people with crazy good luck. If Jeno could buy lottery tickets perhaps he'd win.

Life was good until things had to change. An executive at the company had been arrested for their inappropriate behavior towards women and children. Jeno and his sister had no idea who that man was. They had never even seen him or had heard of his name but said events were enough to change the trajectory of their lives.

Jeno's mom was so disturbed by what had happened, that she convinced their dad that they needed to move. Apparently she felt uncomfortable with the agency having their address on file and she wanted her children to have no more connections with that place. In reality she owed some money and found it to be the perfect time for them to get away. Jeno likes the protective mother story more so he'll believe it to be true.

Jeno was ten when he met Jaemin. He never threw a tantrum about moving since despite having a decent amount of people he'd interact with at school, he didn't feel too attached to them. Starting a new school just meant he'd have to talk to new people. All the kids at the agency were also stuck in a every kid for themselves mentality so he definitely wouldn't be missing them. He would miss his Eunwoo-hyung though. Eunwoo always had candy on him and he'd always share his snacks.

Introducing himself to his new classmates was quite the hassle.

"Hi my name is Lee Jeno and I am excited to be your new classmate. Please take care of me." He said before bowing.

He was lying.

He was not excited to be their new classmate nor did he need to be taken care of but out of courtesy he recited those words.

The students looked at him a bit confused, claiming that they could swear they'd seen his face before but didn't know where. It wasn't until the next day that they figured out why but Jeno paid no attention to them.

Instead, his eyes had immediately caught sight of a small shy boy that was trying to hide himself as best as he could the day he started going to the new school. When he was acting, he was instructed to try to grab everyone's attention. Children for the most part want attention, so seeing him try to hide into the background made him stand out to Jeno. The kid was also better looking than all the other kids too. He could definitely be a model for a kids brand.
