JENO

Someone had to be the butt of the joke. Someone had to be the outsider, the weird kid others would whisper about and pick on. On the ice, Jaemin was someone to be admired, but at school, Jaemin didn't know peace and thanks to Renjun, Jaemin was now upset at practice too, the place that was meant to be an escape from his shitty school life.

"I must've done something but I can't remember what!" Jaemin said for what seemed to be the tenth time today. It had become Jaemin's mantra to say he had wronged Renjun in some way.

It had been a week since Renjun ditched them at Lotte World, a week ever since he cut off all communication, and a week since Jeno's dislike for Renjun more than doubled.

They had arrived early enough at Jaemin's request in order to catch a glimpse of Renjun. Jaemin originally wanted to ask him in person if everything was okay and to forgive him if he had done something wrong.

Renjun completely ignored him.

Renjun's coaches looked at them in disgust. How fitting.

Jeno wasn't a violent guy, but seeing how worried his best friend had been only to be flat out ignored by the Chinese male made his blood boil. In that moment he wanted to act upon all the anger he had been accumulating but Jaemin would probably not forgive him. Renjun also didn't deserve an ounce of his attention, not when he couldn't even acknowledge and take a quick look at Jaemin when he called out for him repeatedly.

The situation made no sense.

"You haven't done anything wrong, just ignore him." he tried to say to console his visibly upset friend.

"But he's the one who brought up doing something! What if he's afraid of heights and he's upset because I planned for us to go there! That would make sense." Jaemin said. He kept on trying to make up excuses for Renjun's actions even though it was obvious that Renjun was just a bad person. Anyone could tell that he was arrogant.

"He could've told you that and he didn't have to get on those rides. Ignore him, he's just an asshole." Jeno said annoyed.

Ever since that day Jaemin hasn't shut up about Renjun. Each time he sees him it's Renjun this or Renjun that.

Maybe Renjun got lost. Maybe Renjun overslept. Maybe Renjun accidentally went to Everland. Maybe Renjun had to give those people that came a tour. Maybe Renjun this, Maybe Renjun that.

All excuses. All Renjun had to do was send a quick and simple message, and even today, him ignoring the only person who has been trying to help him and make him feel included since the beginning is a demonstration of how selfish and cruel he is.

Jeno wasn't sure if he was simply mad at Renjun or annoyed at the fact that Jaemin would not shut up about him. He always wanted Renjun to no longer interact with them, but now that it's happening he isn't sure if he wants to retract his wish.

He couldn't stand that his Jaemin was visibly upset and would constantly try to blame himself over Renjun even though Renjun was simply being the epitome of a bad person. It was affecting Jaemin's mental which in turn affected his performance at practice and they actually have a scrimmage coming up soon. Jaemin, although being really good at the sport, was still really young so he had to prove that he was worthy of being selected for Korea's olympic team. Jeno had to prove himself as well but he was satisfied by simply being in the same vicinity as Jaemin.

"Jeno... have you seen Mark?" a relatively high pitched voice asked interrupting his train of thought.

It was Donghyuck.

Mark was a bit older than them and he was actually born in Canada. The only reason he's here is because he isn't good enough to represent Canada so as a backup he's representing Korea. Jeno didn't even know that was something a person could do but at the same time he wasn't too informed in regards to the rules outside of the rink. He was only here to spend more time with Jaemin.
