Symphony Of Souls

Chapter 1

The just-risen sun shone softly on the city streets, bringing with it a flurry of early-morning activity. I was standing outside, ready to go to school for exam.
"Mom, I'm going." I told her. She came out of the kitchen and said, "Answers likhte vakt dhyaan rkhna." I nodded and went on the other side of the road.

(Be careful while writing the answers."

Few minutes later, the bus came and I went inside it and went took a window seat. I took out my earphones and plugged them and started playing songs. I looked outside the window, and because it was still early, few people were on their morning walk and few were already opening their shops. It was mid-February time, so winter was almost over but still in morning it was very cold.

After 15 minutes, I arrived at my school and went inside. As per the given sitting arrangement I went on the top floor because that's where our class was. The most frustrating thing was that we have to use the stairs for going up. We can't use the lift and because of that more than half of our energy gets drained easily.

After exam I waited for my best friend to come. "Kavya." I looked behind and saw Aditi coming towards me. Aditi was someone who was completely opposite of me. I am the type of person who is shy while her confidence is on another level. She loves to go out and she loves parties also but me, well I like to stay alone at home. But yeah ,I love traveling. "How was it?" She asked me. "Good. I mean for someone like me who hates Maths so much, I think it went pretty well." I replied to her. "How about yours?" I asked her. "It was great." She said and I hummed. We then started leaving and when we reached outside we both went near my bus so that we can talk for a little while. "So today was the last exam. What's your plan?" She asked me. "Well, I am going to my hometown. Tomorrow's the train and this one's gonna be long. I have to attend my sister's wedding." I told her. "Am I the only one who is going to her hometown just for one week? Aruhi is going today, you are going tomorrow and I will be going after few days. But that's good I guess atleast we will be at our home for few days." She said happily. "Talking about Aruhi, I told her to meet us before leaving but that idiot left already." I said while mentally cursing her. Aruhi was our third partner in crime. She is the youngest while I am the eldest. She is quite clumsy but good thing that she is cute. "Okay, so I will go now. Mom's here." Aditi said and I waved her goodbye. I also went inside my bus and sat at my particular seat.

Next Day

It was just 3 AM when my mom woke me up to get up and check whether I have packed everything or not. Mom was packing the snacks for the journey. She was gonna cook also but I denied. Currently I was waiting for the cab to come which I have booked because the train was at 6 and it was almost 5 now and it takes nearly 45 minutes to reach the station. When the cab came I touched the feet of my parents and sat in the cab because one more second and I would start crying. This is the first time I am traveling on my own, before this I used to travel with my family. Let alone be the travelling, I have never stayed anywhere without mom so it's gonna be a little tough for me.

When I reached the station, I boarded the train and after sitting I called my mom to inform that I have boarded. Well, you know how mom's are, we need to give them update about everything we do. The first travelling was for 8-9 hours, then I will be boarding the next train at Mathura. I was sitting when few ladies came and started to ask for money to the gents especially. One of them pointed at me and said to the uncle that was sitting in front of me, "Pay for the blessings of that girl." "No, no, no. No need I will give the money instead. You don't need to give money, uncle." I quickly denied. "No, it's okay dear. In our family girls are called Laxmi, and it would be our fortune if we give money for your blessings." His wife said to me but still I protested but failed. "I pray that God bless you with all the happiness and I hope it starts from today itself." That lady said and went forward. I smiled and looked out of the window. My eyes were getting heavy, that's why I decided to get some sleep.

I felt as if someone was shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw that the lady who stopped me from giving the money was waking me up. "Get up, we are almost there." She told me because before sleeping I asked her to wake me up when we reach. "Thanks aunty." I greeted her, took out my luggage and when train stopped I got off the train. And as soon as I got off the train, I got a call from Dad. "Have you reached?" He asked me. "Yes dad." I replied. "Good, I have booked one of the resting room. You can go and rest there and if you want to eat something then go in the restaurant that's present there, but don't forget to lock the door of the resting room." He explained me as I smiled. "Okay dad. I won't forget. Bye." I said and he greeted me back and hung up the call. I went to the reception of the rooms and asked for my booking and took the keys for the room and went inside. It was just 2 PM and my next train was at 10 PM. Yup, after 8 hours. So I thought of sleeping and laid down on the bed and slept quickly but not before calling mom.

When I woke up it was 4 PM. Yes, I slept for straight 2 hours. That too I woke up because I was starving. I hadn't had my breakfast nor lunch that's why I went outside and started walking to the restaurant. When I entered inside the restaurant, it was all quiet. And trust me I am already loving this, because the only thing I want right now is peace. At first I thought that I will eat here only, but then I remembered that I am all alone so it was better if I eat in my room only. So, I went to order my food and after giving my order I sat on one of the tables near the window. I don't know what do I love about stations whether it is the trains that are coming and leaving or the small shops but whatever it is I love it especially at night, when everything is quite just the horns of the train and soft winds blowing. I came out of my trance when my name was called. I got up and went to take my order. After that I payed and when I turned to leave I bumped into someone and my phone fell down. Shit!!!! "I am sorry." I apologized to the person without looking at him or her and bent down to pick up my phone and felt relieved when I didn't found any scratch. "No, it was my fault. I am sorry." That person said and that's when I looked at him. "I was just looking at my phone that's why I didn't saw you. If there is any damage to your phone I will pay for it. I am really sorry." He said apologizing to me again and again. I shook my head and said, "It's ok, don't apologize. It was my fault also. I should have looked up before walking. So you have no need to be sorry and yeah my phone is completely fine." I said to him and gave him a smile and then left from there.

Aisa scene meri jindgi mein kaahe nhi hai be. 🤧🤧

I came into my room and then I started having my food. Finally!!! I was eating peacefully when I got interrupted by my phone ringing.

So this was the first chapter. I know it's a little bit boring but I hope you all like this chapter. I promise I will try to make it more interesting.And if you guys want to ask anything just leave your questions in the comments. I'll see you all soon..
