"I still have feelings for you and no matter how hard I try to convince myself that I'm better off without you, I just can't let you go."
-------------------------
I'm feeling all better now. I guess. I really don't like hospitals. And Its been a long and stressful week for me. I barely kept up with our project but thanks to Jake and Dmax for covering up for me and doing something that is really helpful for our project paper. The sun shines brightly today, I stood under a park tree waiting for our groupmates. I made it clear to myself that I shouldn't be late for today's meeting. And I'm hoping it wouldn't be cancelled because I missed two meetings before.
Our meeting places seems to be not typical meeting places, usually people meet at library's or at coffee shops or free places to hang-out. But we're meeting in a park right now, I check the time in my watch every now and then. In less than five minutes, I could see Trish and the others coming closer.
My attention was focused on them that I literally jump when someone from behind me scared the pumpkins out of me.
I turned around and saw Jake grinning widely while Dmax stood not too far with a smug expression.
'Jake! Next time you do that I'll be on the ground lifeless.' I seriously said.
'oh right, I'm sorry, princess, I for---ouch!. D that was uncalled for, why did you do that?' Jake didn't finish what he wanted to say for Dmax elbowed him hard at his side.
Trish arrival stopped the two boys from bickering. Though they both look cute doing it. *amused look*
We found a nearby picnic table and sat there. Trish laid out all our paraphernalias and said.
'Now that we're all here, lets split the task of distributing survey forms and interviewing park goers and tourists.' before Trish could hand out the forms and other papers, Ritz is already by Aura's side and Yen is standing next to Trish and I was left with the two, Jake who seemed to be hiding a smile and Dmax who looks like his about to punch his friend.
'Splitting the group seemed easy.' Trish commented. She then gave us the survey forms while them and Aura-Nitz are in the interviewing part.
After that we dispersed and Trish said that she'll give us all three days to organize the results then we'll meet again.
----------------------------'It seems she doesn't remember what happened D.' Jake whispered to me. We left Aly at a nearby bench and went to scout the area. She told us to look for places where tourist flock. Jake wanted to stay with her but I insisted I needed a wingman and she laughed at that.
'Maybe she remembers but she doesn't want anyone to know that she got hospitalized.' I replied.
'Right, I still can't forget everything that happened. I didn't know that you knew so much about her sickness even though you just met. Does she have the same health issue as your previous girlfriend? But now that I know that she really needs someone to be by her side, I'm really going to pursue her and be there always..' I know Jake really meant what he said but I couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy? Or something I know but I can't pinpoint. So I kept quiet after that.
We search and spotted tourist drop off points. After 15 minutes of brisk walking we went back to where Aly is. She's still sitting where we left her, a park bench under a tree protects her from the hot rays of the sun. Jake walked faster while I slowed my steps.I've been thinking a lot lately, since the day Aly got hospitalized.
Every what ifs kept coming up. I even saw an ad that says 'What if the one you loved comes back?' What if?What should I do now? She came back or I came back for her?
