" Ah, Club Day. A day where clubs gather to grab any new students they can put their mitts on."
On the edges of a large street, multiple stalls are placed with people beckoning people to come near. Each stall has a different sign and is giving out different treats or trinkets. In the middle of the school street is a large flag sign that states: "Next Turn Club Day, Your Place can be found with a simple turn!"
Marcus turns to me. "Gonna join any clubs, (Y/N)?"
I shake my head. "Nah, got enough on my plate as it is. I'll still check them out though."
"I see, I see." Marcus points at one stall a far bit away. "Well, I'm gonna go get some snacks from the stall over there."
I decide to just follow him while glancing over the clubs.
Cat Raising, Solar Energy, Bridge Building?
Shaking it off, I turned back and found waves of people in place of Marcus.
"Dang it, where'd he go?" I frantically looked around, jumping to see above the people in front of me. "He couldn't have gone too far, right?"
" Excuse me, do you need help?" A voice said behind me, causing me to look.
It was an Xyz Black that was shorter than me by a few inches and wearing a green beanie with a pin that looked like a gear.
"Oh I'm just looking for a friend of mine." I explained, looking around some more. "He's probably still by some club stalls getting free snacks."
"Well then, while your friend is doing...whatever he's doing." The Xyz Black student stepped aside, revealing a stall behind himself. " Would you like to visit my club's stall?"
The stall belonged to the Card Design Club and looked pretty decent. It had various artworks from different cards and paintings that resembled famous monsters like the Dark Magician. There were a couple students manning the stall with another two sitting next to a box. All in all, It was a bit above average compared to most of the other clubs here.
"So here's my group" He then waves to one of the people next to the box, who gets up and hands him a small envelope.
"My name's Winchester, people sometimes call me Winch ." He then hands me something. "Since you came by, you get a free random sticker."
"Well thanks." I look at the envelope in my hand before putting it away. "So what do you guys do?"
"Oh we just look at different Duel Monster cards in the game and find out how they tick.." He scratches his cheek. "We all want to become designers for Industrial Illusions, the people who make the card game."
"That's... pretty cool actually."
"So uh, wanna join?"
I shake my head. "No, sorry."
Winch sighs. "Eh, I tried. For some reason, not many people are interested in card design."
"..."
"..."
A female Synchro White student spoke up. "We probably aren't gonna get any new members if we don't do something, so why don't ya two duel?"
"You up for a duel then?" Winch paused. "If you don't want to, then it's fine."
"Sure." I shrugged. "I've got nothing else to do but look for my friend after all, and I'm sure he'll be fine."
