Shadow Turn 9: Framed

In a darkened room, A student is seen snoring on a bed as sunlight slowly pours in. His phone next to him rings out, an alarm signaling the start of a new day and that he needed to be up. He slowly opened his eyes to the natural light of the world, covering his eyes as he sat up in his bed. He vacantly looked around his room before rubbing his eyes and holding up his phone.

Yu puts the phone down and gets up, shambling towards a desk nearby. He grabs a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a towel, all strewn around the room before reaching the door. He could hear whispers of others behind it, but ignored it. He soon walked out into a hallway, closing his door as other students began to notice him. They stood still for a bit before quickly walking away, leaving the place dead silent with a slight hum of machinery.

He just continued on his way, cleaning himself up and returning to his room. He stretches a bit before putting on his clothes. He grabs his bag and begins to walk out before hearing a tiny thud behind him.

He looks back and sees a tiny box on the floor, picking it up with both hands. He opens the package, spotting only an eye mask inside. He stands there for a bit, looking at it, before shrugging and putting it around his neck as he walks out.

His day started off as normal as it could.

Chemistry class was the same as usual, a lecture with a lab right after. People only worked with him because no one else wanted to, he just followed along and did what he had too.

Lunch left him another day with a half empty stomach after eating the rather lackluster free lunch, causing him to sleep through the rest of the time. Others cautiously walked around him.

Calculus was difficult today, another theorem thrown into the mix. People avoided his gaze when he looked at them and chose to sit as far as they could from him without getting an earful from the professor.

The class would quickly end and he casually walked out, taking a seat nearby. He looked at his phone for the time. It read 4:30, which caused him to sigh and slump further into the seat. That lunch barely put a dent in his stomach

The free dinner wouldn't come in about two hours, so he just put on his new eye mask and then tried to fall asleep again.

Well, he would have gone to sleep if he wasn't pulled up onto his feet.

"So, you're the guy who's been doing all that strange stuff?" A voice to his left spoke as they jostled them around. "Bet I could take him with only half a deck!"

"Take this seriously!" The voice to his right said. "Remember, this is supposed to be the guy who took down twenty people in a row."

Yu tiredly slid his sleeping mask down and looked around him. Besides the students holding him up, there seemed to be a large group of people staring at him with glares and frightened looks. It was mostly Synchro Whites, Xyz Blacks, and a few from Fusion Purple, all of them wearing strange badges on their arms.

A leader-like Synchro White student walked in front of Yu, causing him to be let go. "Well then, sorry about this but we'll need you to come with us."

"...Why?"

"Don't play these games, you know why." The Synchro White states. "You've caused a great deal of trouble in the background of the school. We can't have that. So either you come with us or we'll be forced to stop you the hard way."

"Hmmm...." Yu looked at him for a bit as he picked up his bag. "Nah."

He then sprints away from the group, leaving them confused for a bit before quickly coming too and chasing after him.
