Hey hey, I'm Vanilla Valentine, welcome to the end, I guess. This is going up just a few hours after the epilogue, so go back to that if you missed it. Pretty close to a year later and it's done, course it would be sooner if i wasnt forced into a break for a few months, but still. im not entirely sure what to say here, but thank you all for reading! seriously, i mean it. as i said at the start, this is practically the first thing ive ever written, so having ANYONE pay attention to it at all means alot. when i started writing this i told myself once i finish this if i enjoyed it and got at least 15 people to actively read it i would continue writing. well i did enjoy this quite a bit and as of writing this i currently have 272 active readers... idk where the fuck yall came from but hi, i guess. really appreciate you reading. if you have any criticism id love to hear it, i wanna improve my writing
so, to talk about the story itself, Yoku went through ALOT of different iterations before this went up. like entire personality changes kinda iterations. when taking notes before i actually started writing his ultimate wasnt even decided until a good 150, 200 notes in. i stopped counting after a while and ive been deleting the notes as i use them, but in total i believe i had around 650 notes. granted alot of them went against eachother as my idea for the story changed over time, but there was alot lol. hell, his name wasn't even Kouyoku til like a month before writing. i think it was originally 'Hikarihane' which means the same thing, but Kouyoku is using the correct japanese naming conventions... i think. i think the one thing that stayed consistent through the whole process was Chihiro. Chihiro is one of my favorite characters in media so there was no way i wasnt making her important. If i had more confidence in my writing she would have survived, but thats a whole lotta difference i gotta do. by the by you should probably get used to something like that in my future stories, my characters prolly gonna get pretty close with whoever my favorite character is in whatever media im writing in. unless a plot point says otherwise. so if you remember in 1-3 yoku's motive was a younger sister, the plan was originally to use her for an ultra despair girls story, but every time i think about it i go back n forth between actually wanting to write one or not, so until i DO write one, just pretend she doesnt exist. i may eventually go back and change his motive video if i ever manage to think of something else. ill try to be a bit more diverse with music next time, but as shit as my memory is itll usually revolve around whatever im currently doing... also i just really like persona
