I get up from my bed and head out.
Wandering the halls with red carpet, I go to the end off the hall to go down the stairs.
I am going to the grand library while I can, Bastion told me there is a book on vampire law there, and now I am seriously curious to find out what really can be done with me here.
The sooner I know the better.
Luckily it seems there is no staff in the halls, I can go through with no issue.
My walking turns into running, and I almost fall down the stairs.
I just manage to grab the stone railing before I fully trip.
Phew... calm down Micheal... you are fine.... you are fine...
I go back to walking, my heart is beating like crazy.
Every step is filled with dread, despair, and hoping that I avoid running into anyone that might try to mistreat me in any way. Toy with me in any way. Do anything that is not comfortable.
But its looks like all the staff are working elsewhere but where i'm going. Perfect.
I can feel at least somewhat comfortable.
I reach the doors of the grand library, well, this is it then.
Please be empty, please be empty, please be empty!
As I turn the knob and enter, the familiar smell of old books comes in my nose.
Phew, I can see no one in here.
I know its of topic and not my main goal, but I really have to take a moment and look at the size of this place.
Its huge, there are entire generations of books here.
The ceiling so high up, an entire part of the upper floor is just not there.
And so many tables, chairs, walls lined with shelves and ladders, a staircase leading to an upper part of the library with even more shelves.
And I will say it again: So many books!
Hundreds, no, millions, no... uncountable amounts!
How am I ever going to find the book on vampire law here?
I head to a table, perhaps its between the piles of books there?
I take a seat and start rummaging through the messy pile of books on the table, so many of them...
"Advanced Alchemy", "Eternal Hunger: A Guide to Feeding", "Vampire Poetry"...
Nothing i'm looking for.
"The Art of Seduction"?
vampires actually practice that?
It only becomes weirder...
"Fangs and Wealth". Seems to be a guide to fortune and wealth...
The next book I see nearly gives me a heart attack.
"Tamed: Caring for Your Pet Human".
Could... could that have been used to treat me?
Did anyone in the castle read this book?
I continue rummaging through the books, there has got to be a book on vampire law here!
I just feel it! I am not kidding, I...
Ok, i'm getting too spiritual...
I keep the book on pet humans on the side however, I would like to know what is in that.
