CHAPTER SIXTY

" ARRESTED"

Side story

Eon Jin and Tae Pyung with Man Bok went inside the cave but their royal palace guards and some court ladies are waiting outside. "Did he built alone that room for you before?" Tae Pyung asked as he trying to control his jealousy. Eon Jin nodded without her knowing that her husband is starting to feel jealous on Woo Sung. "Yes, Your Royal Highness... He built it for me, for emergency... If I get suddenly stranded at the forest." She said. Tae Pyung smile faded. Eon Jin found the door, "This is it!" She said and let out a pair of eye smile. Eon Jin immediately open it and she was about to go inside when Tae Pyung stop her. "It's dangerous for you to get inside first." He said. Tae Pyung gently pull her behind him and he went inside first. He signal Man Bok to stay outside the door to be on guard.

When they went inside, Eon Jin immediately walk towards to where the square glass lantern but she didn't found it. "Waeyo?" Tae Pyung asked. Eon Jin look at him, "It's weird... This is where I always put the lantern before but I couldn't found it here..." She said. "Are you sure?" He asked. Eon Jin nodded. "Maybe I will asked, Woo Sung Oppa later if he came to this place..." Eon Jin said. Tae Pyung frowned when he heard his name and Eon Jin notice it. "Your Royal Highness, Is there something wrong?" She asked. Tae Pyung look at her and release a deep sigh, "Nothing...." He said. Tae Pyung avoid her eyes and look around to the room. He smile when he saw the broken jade comb on top of the table. Eon Jin approach him. "Did you remember that, Your Royal Highness?" She said while looking at him. Tae Pyung smile and take the broken comb. "I gave you the other half of it on the day that I saved you." Eon Jin said. Tae Pyung take on his sleeves the other half of the comb and Eon Jin smile widely when she saw it. "I always bring this whenever I am... I think this is my lucky charm..." Tae Pyung said. Eon Jin smile and reach his face, "Did you know why I broke it and gave it to you that day?" Eon Jin asked. Tae Pyung look at her. "I want you to remember me... And now, I'm happy that you still keep that." Eon Jin said. Tae Pyung hug her and Eon Jin return a hug to him. Tae Pyung caress her face while looking at her eyes. "Maybe my mind forgot you for a while but my heart remember you, Eon Jin." Tae Pyung said. Eon Jin smile widely and hug him, "I love you... Tae Pyung..." She whispered. He kiss her sweetly and Eon Jin kiss him back. "Can we do it here?" He whispered naughtily. Eon Jin gave him a light punch on his chest and Tae Pyung let out a small laughters. Tae Pyung pull her again closer to him and own her lips again but this time it is passionately. They both startled and interrupted when suddenly something fall to the ground.

Tae Pyung immediately ready his sword and hide her behind his back. Eon Jin got worry because all she knew that they're all alone in the room. "Who's that?" Tae Pyung shouted. Man Bok immediately went inside when he heard Tae Pyung's voice. Eon Jin got shocked when she saw a shadow behind the old cabinet. She pointed it to Tae Pyung and he make a signal to Man Bok to get ready. "Stay here, Eon Jin.." He whispered and Eon Jin nodded. Tae Pyung slowly walk to approach where the shadow is while Man Bok is getting ready as he stand in the front door. Tae Pyung got shocked when he saw a girl at the back of the wooden cabinet. He immediately pointed his sword to her, "Who are you? What are you doing here?" Tae Pyung said. The girl cry while looking at him, "Please don't kill me... I'm hiding here because I want to live..." The little girl said.

Eon Jin immediately walk to where Tae Pyung is when she heard the little girl's voice. Her eyes got widen when she saw her, "Mi Joo?" She said. Tae Pyung look at her, "Mi Joo? You mean..." He said. Mi Joo look at to Eon Jin. "Did you know me, Young Lady?" Mi Joo said while crying. Eon Jin smile and hug her. "Don't cry... You're safe now, Mi Joo..." She said. Tae Pyung immediately put his sword down and also Man Bok.

Present days

"Minister Min, You need to come with us for interrogation.." Il Woo said. The King command him to interrogate Minister Min and all his apprentice. "Waeyo? Who are you to barge on my house!" Minister Min said. Il Woo gave signal to his men to arrest Minister Min and some of them went inside to collect some evidence.

Sora saw her father got arrested. She's watching from a far as she clenching his fist. "You will pay for this, Eon Jin! I'm going to kill you and your baby!" She said while her tears continue to flow from her eyes.

Meanwhile, In the palace...

Tae Pyung told to Eon Jin to stay for awhile in the Queen Dowager's chamber for her safety and for his peace of mind. He admit that he's the one who told to Woo Sung to be on Eon Jin's side to protect her but he couldn't control his jealousy towards him, it all started after his conversation between his uncle, Prince Yu Shin. And there's some rumor keep spreading about the two that's what his jealousy is getting aroused.

"Crown Princess, can I ask you a question?" The Queen Dowager said. They at the balcony having their breakfast together. Eon Jin smile as shw nodded, "What is it, Your Royal Highness?" Eon Jin said. The Queen Dowager knew about the rumor between Woo Sung and Eon Jin. "I heard you and Minister Woo Sung are close, Is there any romantic relationship between the two of you before?" She asked. Eon Jin got shocked. "Your Royal Highness, Woo Sung Oppa is a good friend to me... Nothing more than that." Eon Jin said. "Even before, he's only a friend to me, Your Royal Highness."She added.  The Queen Dowager smile because she felt her sincerity. She also seen on her that she still doesn't know the rumor about her and Woo Sung. "That's good to hear..." The Queen Dowager said. "I'm glad that you and him are friends but Crown Princess, sometimes you also need to put some boundaries between you and him. I know Woo Sung is a good man but Crown Princess, he's also a man." The Queen Dowager said. "I know that he has a feeling for you before but I observe that he's still have it. Princess Eon Jin, you also think what the Crown Prince will feel as your husband." The Queen Dowager added. Eon Jin didn't speak as she silently listening to her. The Queen Dowager hold her hand. "I don't want that your relationship will ruined because of some rumors. Did you get what I mean, Crown Princess?" The Queen Dowager said. Eon Jin smile as she nodded. "Yes, Your Royal Highness... I understand your point. I will take your advice..." She said. The Queen Dowager smile sincerely as she holding her hands.

On the other hand, Tae Pyung and the King is infront of Minister Min and his men while being interrogating. Minister Min didn't speak while looking to the Crown Prince intently.

The palace guard continue to hit him on his thigh and Minister Min shout loudly everytime they hit him. Tae Pyung clench his fist as he tryimg to control himself because Minister Min refuse to talk and confess his sins. He stood up and walk to approach him. "You really want to endure the pain than to confess your sin?" Tae Pyung asked. Minister Min smirked. "We already had the evidence so If I we're you confess your sin now..." He added. Tae Pyung turn around and about to return on his seat when Minister Min speak. "You.. really have to do this for the Crown Princess.." Minister Min said and let out a small laugh. Tae Pyung clench his fist. "Your Royal Highness... Are you sure that you are the father of her unborn baby? I heard Minister Woo Sung and The Crown Princess has a secret a affair behind you... It's okay he remains royal even though Woo Sung is the father." Minister Min said and he's laughing while looking to Tae Pyung. Tae Pyung turn around and look at him. Because of what Minister Min is telling him, he's anger and jealousy are now is getting aroused. He take the sword from one of the palace guard and point it to Minister Min.

The King saw it and he immediately stand up. "Crown prince!..." He said to stop him. Tae Pyung sway his sword and he intended to hit him on his face. Minister Min got shocked and scared when he saw some blood flowing from his cheek. "I'm warning you, Minister Min... Don't talk like that about the Crown Princess... That's my first warning to you... If you didn't stop by spreading some baseless rumors about her, killing will not be enough..." He said in his serious bariton voice.
