CHAPTER ELEVEN

"Sora's Lies"

Side story

( A night before the first result announced)

Tae Pyung walk around at the palace after he visited Sora on her chamber. He's in the middle of his walk when he saw Eon Jin walking fast towards the servant's chamber.

"Lady Eon Jin... Let's go back to your chamber... You should rest..." Wol Sook said as she keep following Eon Jin. Eon Jin ignore her and she continue to walk with the tray on her hand.

She knock soflty at the door. A servant who's age is the same as her open it. "My Lady, what are you doing here? We're not allowed to be near in a noble lady like you without the king's permission." She said. "Don't worry, no one will know about this, I'll promise.."Eon Jin said. "But my Lady..." She said. "Here, take this... I made it for your sister... Can I see her in a bit?" She said and gave the medicine that she made to the servant. The servant look at her with puzzlement. "I heard your cried earlier, I'm sorry... I heard about your sister's sickness... I'm here just to help her that's all." Eon Jin said.

"Lady Eon Jin... You shouldn't.... Remember what your father told you.." Wol Sook said. Eon Jin look at her. "Wol Sook, I couldn't stand to see the girl suffer from her sickness, the fact that I can help her." Eon Jin said. Wol Sook got worried, what if there's someone inside the palace know about her gift. "My lady, you shouldn't be here... I'm afraid that you too will get sick because of my sister." The servant said. "Don't worry about me, think about your sister... So please let me see her and I'll go immediately after I treat her."Eon Jin said.

Tae Pyung heard their conversation. He saw on Eon Jin's eyes the willingness to help them. "Let Lady Eon Jin see and treat your sister." He said. All of them got startled. "Your Royal Highness..." Eon Jin said. "Treat her, don't worry... No one will know about this." Tae Pyung said.

Eon Jin smile widely and her eye smile appear on her face. "Thank you, Your Royal Highness..." She said. Tae Pyung smile as he nodded.

Because of that, her feelings towards the Crown Prince grow bigger.

Present day

Sora stayed on her chamber and she intentionally refused to eat so that Tae Pyung will visit her. And she's right, an hour has been passed when Tae Pyung went to her chamber.

"Are you okay?" Tae Pyung said. Sora pretend to cry. "Waeyo? Is there something happened?" He asked. Sora look at him. "Your Royal Highness... I'm just so sad that I couldn't make it to the top spot on the first round." Sora said. Tae Pyung sit next to her. "It's okay, there's still two more rounds... Don't pressure yourself..." Tae Pyung said. "I just want to be your Crown Princess by giving my best but, Eon jin... I think she's not playing fair enough." She said. Tae Pyung look at her with puzzlement. "Why you're telling that? She also didn't know about the first round... I saw it in her eyes." Tae Pyung unknowingly defend Eon Jin. Sora got more furious to Eon Jin. She knew it, Eon Jin started to gain Tae Pyung's trust and she will never let that happen.

Sora stood up and  still pretending her cry. "We used to be best friends, Your Royal Highness.... So I know her more than anyone else...." She said. "Fine, I know it's hard to believe in me because of her innocent face. But Eon Jin manage to hide her true self especially in times like this." Sora said. Tae Pyung stood up and approach her. "What do you mean?" He asked. "She wanted to live here in the palace... She wants the Crown Princess position. You know what, she get mad at me when she knew that I'm also listed in the selection process." Sora said. Tae Pyung got confused and he suddenly recall what his uncle said. Sora try to guess his thinking. "I'm scared Your Royal Highness, that one day you will fall from her trap.... She knew that I have feelings for you and she told me that she can have you and the Crown Princess position if she wanted. Now, she made her moves..." Sora said. Tae Pyung hug her. His mind and heart are now both confused. His heart couldn't accept what Sora is telling about Eon Jin but his mind telling him to trust Sora.

"Don't worry... It will never happen... You have my heart, Lady Sora..." He said. Sora smirked when she heard it. 'Eon Jin... Tae Pyung is mine... Since the day that we've found him at the forest...' In her mind.

Meanwhile, Woo Sung excitedly rush to Eon Jin chamber to give her the letters and some side dishes that Lady cheon Myeonng made for Eon jin. "Oh! Woo Sung Oppa... I'm happy to see you here.." Eon Jin said. Woo Sung smile widely. "Here, Lady Cheon Myeong made this for you... And your two brothers wrote a letter for you." Woo Sung said. Eon Jin smile widely she excitedly open it. " I miss her side dish.. Thanks Oppa for bringing these for me." Eon jin said.

They decided to walk near the pond. "How's your day here?" Woo Sung asked. "Congratulations for making the top spot at the first round, but as you know, I'm not happy for the fact that there's a high chance for you to be the Crown Princess." Woo Sung said. Eon jin let out a small smile. "Yah! But please tell me that your proud of me..." Eon Jin said. Woo Sung smile. "It's sadder here... I miss my family and my playground which is the outside of the palace... It's hard to sneak from here..." Eon Jin said as she let out a small laughters. "I told you... If you want I can get you out of here..." He said. Eon Jin laugh with her pair of eye smile. "I can't be... I want to finish this and accept what the outcome..." She said. "I'm General Son Tae Jin's daughter so It's embarrassing to back out." She said. Woo Sung give her a necklace with a lavender pendant. Eon jin look at him. Woo Sung smile and he put it on her neck. "Always wear it, so that you will never feel sad and alone here." Woo Sung said. Eon Jin smile while looking at the necklace. "Thank you, Oppa..." She said.
