A woman arrives at the hospital in labour. After a few hours she gave birth to two beautiful twin girls. She couldn't take care of them so she gave them up to social services. She was allowed to name the girls, so she named one Lucy and the other one Angela.

2 years after giving them up

The girls were two years old. They were in a group home setting, families came to see if they would take them but no one ever did. No one wanted to take the girls together.

One day a couple came and met the girls. The couple liked Angela more than Lucy so they decided to take Angela. Lucy and Angela had made bracelets for each other. Lucy cried for a long time after Angela left.

Over the next 10 years, Lucy was bounced around to different families. It wasn't pleasant and she didn't get treated fairly. She was constantly bullied by everyone. She was the smallest one out of the two. Meanwhile Angela was going well, she had four step brothers and a loving family. Angela never gave up on Lucy, she tried everything to find her as Angela missed her sister so much.

Lucy is now 14, she finally was adopted by the Chen family. They didn't give Lucy any piece of mind, constantly belittling her. Lucy missed her sister everyday, she cried every night and always worn her bracelet. When it got too small, Lucy put it on a necklace chain to keep it close.

When Angela turned 21, she joined the police academy. Once she made it through the academy, she was assigned to Mid-Wilshire, made her name well known. Tim Bradford became her best friend, Wade Grey the watch commander warmed up to the pair. Angela only told them about having a twin sister that she hasn't seen since she was 2 and they both promised to help her find her sister.

Lucy didn't know what job she wanted to do, but she feels like being a cop is something she would be good at. Also because it would allow her to find her long lost sister. Her adoptive parents don't support it at all. Lucy needed up going through the academy and met her good friend John and Jackson.

A few people made fun of Lucy at the academy. She vowed to never tell anyone about her past.

Lucy was 24 went she joined the force. Jackson, John and Lucy all were assigned to Mid-Wilshire.

At roll call, Grey did his well planned speech he does for every rookie that comes through the station. He introduced the three rookies and assigned them to their TO's.

Grey: "Officer Bradford gets our hotshot, Officer Lopez gets our legacy and Detective Harper you get our oldest rookie. Dismissed." The TO's showed the rookies what they needed to know and headed on patrol.

A few shifts into their placements, Tim and Lucy responded to a call where they had to split up. Lucy followed the suspect and arrested them. The suspect told Lucy how weak she is and never would make it as a cop, this struck a nerve with Lucy.

On their way to the station, Tim noticed that Lucy was a bit more quieter than normal.

Tim: "Chen, are you okay?"

Lucy: "I'm fine, sir." He didn't believe a word she said but didn't push it.

As the months went on, Angela hit dead ends with her search for her sister. Now being a detective, she was driven to find her sister. Angela missed her sister so much, that whenever she wasn't busy... she was following leads to lead her to her long lost sister.

Lucy got called into Grey's office.

Lucy: "You wanted to see me, sir."

Grey: "Yes, take a seat." She sat down waiting for the news Grey was going to deliver.

Grey: "Your background isn't fully complete. We need to know more than we do."

Lucy: "Ok fine, I'm adopted. I got adopted when I was 14."

Grey: "Ok, what about your birth parent's last name?"

Lucy: "I don't know it. I was given up as a baby, so I only knew my first name."

Grey: "What about siblings?"

Lucy: "I have one sister that I don't know where she is."

Grey: "Ok thank you for that. I'll call if you needed." Lucy left his office. At this point, Lucy didn't talk too much as she was getting criticised about everything. Angela never fully warmed up to Lucy, they were civil and that's all they were.

Lucy had build her walls up, stopping people from getting to close to her. She was constantly feeling weak and knew that her sister always would be by her side but she couldn't turn to her.

Tim helped Angela look for new clues but she never told him her name. Angela decided to call the adoption centre that she was adopted from. She went to a private area away from others.

Receptionist: "Good Morning Los Angela's Adoption Centre, how many I assist you."

Angela: "Hi, I was adopted from the centre at the age of two, which separated me from my twin sister. Could you let me know anything about her?"

Receptionist: "I can, what's her name?"

Angela: "Her name is Lucy, I don't remember her last name but she was bought in at the same time as me." The receptionist searches the name up.

Receptionist: "I have found her profile in our system. She was bounced around different homes and didn't get adopted until she was 14."

Angela: "Ok, do you know where I can find her?"

Receptionist: "Unfortunately I can't. Our system doesn't show anything about the family she went to. I'm so sorry." Angela thanks her and hang up.

She walked back into the station, head down and was zoned out until she felt this hand on her shoulder. Standing in front of her was Tim, Grey and Nyla. They all went into Grey's office.

Nyla: "Ang, are you okay?" She just shook her head.

Grey: "Could you tell us what's wrong?"

Angela: "I called the adoption centre about my sister, they told me she was adopted at the age of 14. But after I got adopted she was bounced around the system." She started tearing up.

Angela: "I feel bad, I need to find her and know she is okay. She was very quiet and people would pick on her all the time, she tried her best to stand up for herself but couldn't quite figure it out. What if she's -" Angela was interrupted by Tim.

Tim: "You can't think like that. We will find her for you, okay?" She gives him a slight nod.
