The Rookie - Sister

Part 3

It revealed that she had a twin sister that also went into the system at the same time, they keep reading and find a name.

Grey: "No, it can't be."

Tim: "It must be. What do we do about this?"

Grey: "I don't know, we'll keep this to ourselves for now." Tim nods.

Lucy got into a fight with a suspect and got a bit injured but didn't go to the hospital. She got to the station and processed the person, then walked to get a drink. 

Angela and Nyla have been working hard on a case.

Nyla: "I'm not going to push you, but could you maybe tell me the name of your sister your looking for?"

Angela: "Fine, but don't tell anyone. It's Lucy." Nyla was a little shocked.

Nyla: "Ok. But what was it about that day had a bracelet that belonged to Lucy here?"

Angela: "That bracelet was identical to the one I gave my sister when we were young."

Nyla: "Well, could Lucy here be your sister? If she had a bracelet identical to yours."

Angela: "Nah, it can't be. I would've know if she was." Angela had to go to the bathroom and Nyla snuck away to Grey's office.

Grey: "Yes Harper."

Nyla: "Angela told me that her sisters name is Lucy, but don't tell her you know as she doesn't want anyone to know."

Tim: "Ok, well Lucy's history is patchy so we did some research and well. Have a look." Nyla looks and then steps back.

Nyla: "No way, it can't be. I need to get back before she is back." They nod and all said to tell no one.

Angela and Nyla got back to work on the case. Meanwhile Lucy returned to patrol, she saw someone she knew from her childhood. She took her duty belt off and her body camera, leaving them in the shop. She approached the girl.

Lucy: "Yo Jill, what's up?"

Jill: "Hey, nothing much. You actually made it as a cop."

Lucy: "Yeah, I did. What did you expect?"

Jill: "Well, you were so weak. And now your this." Lucy was taken back.

Jill: "Let's see how you can handle yourself without any weapons." Lucy got jumped. She tried her best to fight her and another person off but wasn't successful. Lucy got beaten up until she fell unconscious.

Jill: "Your still that weak little girl aren't you." They left, leaving Lucy there alone. Everyone went about their day.

3 hours later, Tim came running into Grey's office.

Tim: "Sir, have you heard Lucy on the radio?"

Grey: "No, I haven't. (into his radio) Dispatch this is Sergeant Grey, perform a welfare check on Officer Chen."

Dispatch (radio): "Ok, give me a minute."

Dispatch (radio): "She isn't responding."

Grey (radio): "When was last contact?"

Dispatch (radio): "Over 3 hours ago."

Grey (radio): "That's a problem for later, now can you get her GPS from the shop."

Dispatch (radio): "I have it. I'll send it to you." Grey and Tim walks out of his office.

Grey: "Ok. Harper, Lopez, West, Nolan and Bradford meeting in roll call." They all walk into the room.

Tim: "Lucy hasn't been heard from for over 3 hours, we have the last known location of her shop. Let's gear up and head there." They all agree and head out of the station. After a bit of a drive, they all arrive and see her shop. 

Nyla: "Guys, her duty belt and body camera are in here."

Jackson: "What? Why would she take them off?" They canvas the area searching for her. Grey approached a body and found her.

Grey (radio): "I found her, get a RA here now." Lucy slowly woke up.

Grey: "Hey, stay still."

Lucy (quietly): "Can I hand my resignation in?" Grey was shocked.

Grey: "What?"

Lucy: "I'm too weak to be a police officer, they're all right. I'm just weak." She passed out again and the ambulance arrive, they took her to the hospital. Grey looked like she saw a ghost.

Jackson: "Sir, are you okay?" Grey just shook his head.

Nyla: "What happened?"

Grey: "She wants to leave the force, saying that they are right and she is just weak."

John: "What? She isn't weak, she's actually strong."

Tim: "Let's go be there for her." They all leave and get to the hospital. The nurse told them to take a seat. After a few minutes, a doctor came out.

Doctor: "Anyone hear for Lucy Chen?" They wave him over.

Jackson: "Is she okay?"

Doctor: "She took a beating. She is sedated, but we need to know her relatives as her records are very vague."

Tim: "She was adopted, we know her adoptive parents. But she has a blood related sister that she was separated from."

Doctor: "We can try a DNA test to find her sister. I'll put a rush on the test." 

A few hours go by, everyone is waiting for news and worried about Lucy. The doctor returns to the group.

Grey: "Have you got the test results?"

Doctor: "We do. Does anyone know how to get into contact with..."
