chapter 6 : 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚏𝚘𝚛

In the rainy weather, the atmosphere was incredibly quiet as a black car navigated its way along a winding road. Inside the car, there were two individuals - Kim Taehyung, who sat by the window in his damp uniform, and Jungkook, who was behind the wheel.

As they approached a particular spot beneath a tree, everything seemed to fall into a hushed stillness. Taehyung's gaze shifted towards Jungkook, who was completely focused on the road ahead. Taehyung's grip tightened on his wet pants, feeling a mixture of nerves and anticipation.

With a nervous bite on his lip, Taehyung glanced downwards, contemplating whether or not to bring up the topic of marriage with Jungkook. Despite the tense situation, there was an undeniable connection between them.

"Did you a....already know about this marriage prop..osal?" Taehyung asked in a small, cracked voice. Jungkook's dark eyes met his, sending a chilling vibe through Taehyung's body. Then, Jungkook focused back on the road and answered in a cold, deep voice.

"No, I didn't know until I met you there," Taehyung looked at Jungkook with a questioning expression. "So how did you know my brother then?" Taehyung asked.

"When I came here, he was the one who arranged an apartment for me. I didn't know you were Namjoon's brother," Jungkook said in a cold tone. Taehyung nodded, understanding the situation.

"Are you su..re about this marria..ge?" Taehyung asked nervously, wanting to make sure that Jungkook wasn't being forced into it.

"Yeah," Jungkook replied in a cold voice. Even though it was a short answer, there were many hidden things behind it. After that, Taehyung didn't ask anything else because he felt doubtful about Jungkook's answer. He silently looked out of the window.

Next day
At school

Jimin and Jennie exclaimed, "YOUR GETTING MARRIED TO JEON JUNGKOOK" Their eyes were wide with shock upon hearing the news that their best friend was marrying their math teacher.

Suddenly, Taehyung covered their mouths and they all fell to the ground. Taehyung didn't want their friends know about this until he found the right moment to tell them.

After ten minutes, Taehyung returned with a glass of water and gave it to Jimin, who quickly drank the entire glass. Taehyung then looked at Jennie, who had her hand on her head and was still in disbelief about the news.

"Come on, it's not like I'm dying, it's just a marriage announcement," Taehyung said in a small voice as he sat next to Jimin.

"Yeah, you're not marrying a human, you're marrying a devil," Jennie remarked.

"Couldn't your grandpa find someone else for you to marry?" Jimin asked, looking at Taehyung, who looked down.

"Mr. Jeon is my grandpa's best friend's grandson," Taehyung said quietly, looking at his disbelieving best friends.

"Taetae, I understand your perspective, but what about him? Why did he willingly agree to this marriage? Is his family pressuring him?" Jennie inquired, flipping the script.

"He agreed to this marriage of his own accord," Taehyung responded, causing Jimin and Jennie to look at him with sympathy.

"When is the wedding?" Jimin asked.

"Next month," Taehyung replied.

"Oh, we don't have much time," Jennie remarked.

"Mom and dad have already started the preparations," Taehyung added.

"Oh, Taetae, you're soon going to be a married man. I can't believe how much you've grown," Jimin said, affectionately patting Taehyung's head like an elderly person.
