The moment the group caught sight of you in your battered state, their eyes widened in shock and concern. They immediately rushed towards you, their steps heavy with worry. Mikey, who was the closest to you, was the first to reach out and help.
His heart pounding with fear, he slipped his arms under your body and lifted you up gently. Kakucho, who was standing beside him, examined you for any visible injuries.
Despite the initial panic, the group managed to keep their cool. They quickly realized that they needed medical attention and called their personal doctor, who had treated them for all major injuries in the past.
He promised to come as soon as possible and instructed them to bring you to the medical room they had in their headquarters.
Carrying you carefully in a bridal style, Mikey hurriedly made his way to the medical room. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with all the necessary medical supplies and equipment. As soon as the doctor arrived, he asked everyone to leave and started the surgery.
The group waited outside the room, their hearts heavy with worry, hoping that everything would turn out alright.
After a long wait, the doctor finally emerged from the medical room with a smile on his face. He informed the group that the surgery was successful, and they were now out of danger.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and the group thanked the doctor for his timely intervention. They were overjoyed that you had made it through.
As everyone rushed into the room, they pushed the doctor to the side and crowded around your bed, their faces etched with worry. You appeared so peaceful, with an oxygen mask covering your nose and mouth, and wires running from your body to the machines beside you. They watched over you for hours, their eyes never leaving your face, as they waited for you to wake up.
Finally, after four long and agonizing days, you stirred. You opened your eyes slowly, taking in your surroundings, and realized that you were in a sterile medical room. You felt groggy and disoriented as if you had been asleep for ages.
You yawned and looked around, trying to make sense of what was happening. "hey guys. what time is it?" you asked
Sanzu stepped forward and spoke up, his voice laced with concern. "It's about 10 PM. Do you need anything? Are you hungry?" he asked, trying to keep his tone light and casual. You could see the relief in his eyes that you were awake and okay.
You nodded "Oh, sure.", feeling grateful for his kindness. But the moment was short-lived. Ran suddenly broke down in tears and threw himself at you, sobbing uncontrollably. You could feel his warm tears soaking through the sheets as he clung to you.
"Can you please STOP ACTING LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED?" he cried out, his voice shaking with emotion.
You could see the pain etched on his face, and it broke your heart. You reached out and stroked his hair, trying to calm him down. "It's okay, Ran. It's okay. I'm here now," you said softly, trying to reassure him.
As you looked up, you saw that Mikey had pushed Ran aside and was now hugging you tightly as well. You felt overwhelmed with emotion, seeing how much they all cared for you. You couldn't help but smile, feeling grateful for having such loving friends by your side.
The group was hungry, and Kokonoi quickly suggested ordering some food. After a moment's deliberation, they all agreed it was a good idea, and you joined them as they made their way out of the room. Despite having rested for four days, you still felt a bit shaky and unsure of yourself, so you followed behind your friends.
As you walked, you suddenly stumbled and fell, grabbing onto Rindou's back for support. You both tumbled to the ground, but thankfully you were not hurt. However, you realized that your legs were still weak from having not walked for several days.
Mikey quickly offered to give you a piggyback ride to the couch in the living quarters, and you gratefully accepted.
Once you were all settled in, Kakucho announced that he had ordered some mouth-watering fried chicken and burgers for everyone.
As he spoke, you took out your phone and searched for a good movie to watch. After some browsing, you settled on "Spiderman: No Way Home," and you excitedly pressed play.
As the others brought the food to the table, you marveled at the stunning visuals and exhilarating action scenes in the movie. However, Koko seemed unimpressed and muttered under their breath at the screen, eliciting a chuckle from the group. You leaned over to Mikey, wrapping your arms around him as you all settled in to enjoy the rest of the movie.
As the scene played where Spiderman was soaring through the cityscape, you couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu. It was as if you had experienced something similar before, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it.
You quickly grabbed your phone and opened the clip, holding it up for all to see. "Guys look!" you exclaimed, as you stretched your arm to make sure everyone could see it clearly. You began to explain how you had climbed 19 floors without any trouble, but before you could finish your sentence,
Takeomi smacked your head so hard that you saw stars. "Are you crazy?" he asked, clearly unimpressed.
Rindou chimed in, "Even more crazy than Sanzu," adding her own disapproval. You tried to defend yourself, "C'mon, it was like my daily exercise routine..." but Koko interrupted you, "You could have called y/n."
The group continued to complain, not even noticing that you had dozed off once again until Mikey silenced them. "Keep it down, y'all," he said, and you all fell asleep once again, just like that day.
