"Iris?" you called out, "What brings you to this part of the building?"

Iris met your gaze evenly, "I got separated from my group," she replied smoothly. "I was trying to find my way back."

You raised an eyebrow skeptically, but you didn't press further. Instead, you nodded towards the direction you had come from. "Well, we're heading that way. You're welcome to join us if you'd like."

Iris hesitated for a moment, as if considering the offer, before shaking her head. "I appreciate it, but I'll manage on my own," she replied politely.

With a nod of understanding, you bid Iris farewell, watching as she disappeared down the hallway, her figure gradually fading into the shadows.

Once she was out of earshot, you turned to Mikey with a thoughtful expression. "You think she's telling the truth?"

Mikey shrugged "Who knows? But something tells me we haven't seen the last of her."

You nodded in agreement, your expression serious. "Agreed. Let's keep an eye out."

As you and Mikey continued down the dimly lit hallway, the sound of approaching footsteps caught your attention. Without a word, you shared a quick glance with Mikey, a silent agreement passing between you.

As the footsteps drew nearer, you and Mikey instinctively sought cover, scanning the area for a hiding spot. Mikey motioned towards an empty alcove, but as you both moved to hide, you realized it was too exposed.

With a split-second decision, you glanced towards the window at the end of the hallway. It was a risky move, but it seemed like your best chance to evade the guards.

You met Mikey's gaze, and without a word, you both darted towards the window. As you reached it, you quickly pushed it open, the cold night air rushing in to meet you.

you and Mikey slipped through the window just as the guards rounded the corner, their voices growing louder with each passing moment.

Outside, you found yourselves perched on a small block support, hidden from view by the darkness of the night.
