Chapter 11

Matthew's POV
I snuck out of her room when she was fully asleep. I went to look for Kiera. I found her doing the dishes.

"Okay. She's sleeping."

I walked up to her and started helping her.

"We're thinking about moving. The bullying is just getting worse. She's been pushed and shoved but she's never been given a concussion."

"Do you think she's telling you everything?"

"I hope she is. If one more thing happens to her in that school...I'm pulling her out."

"If anything happens then...my aunt and uncle are selling their house. If it's still available if anything happens then I can send you everything."

"Thank you. That'd be great. Little by little...I'm starting to hate this town."

Kaililah was able to go back to school the day after I left.
                               Kailiah's POV
I walked into school and walked right up to my locker.

"Hey! You're back!"

"Hi Penny."

"How're you feeling?"

"I'm okay."

"You won't be for long."

"Huh? What does that mean?"

"Oh! Nothing! It was just a shitty joke."

"That doesn't sound like a joke? That kinda sounded like a threat to me? Are you okay? Do you want to talk to me about something?"

She crossed her arms.

"Since you asked...yes. I do have to talk to you about something."

"Okay. What's up?"

"You've...changed since you started dating Stallone."

"Huh? You think...I've changed? What does that mean?"

"There's this...glow around you."

"It's me being genuinely happy for once."

Where's she going with this?

I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Are you okay? Are you having problems with your family again?"

"No. I have a problem with you. You're way too fucking happy."

"Ummm...how did that cause a problem with you and me?"

"It's so annoying seeing you this happy."

I closed my locker then closed it.

"Can you explain a bit more?"

"How stupid are you?"

"Hm? I'm stupid? Since when?"

"You clearly aren't comprehending what I'm saying."

"I don't think that makes me stupid. I'm just confused. You're not giving me a lot of details. Are you seriously okay? Should I start to worry about you?"

"You don't deserve to be this fucking happy!"

"What? I-I don't?"

"No! You don't! He probably doesn't even love you! He's probably just using you! You'll never be fucking happy! That should be ME dating him! You don't deserve to have all of the fancy clothes and jewelry!"

Everyone started staring.

"Umm take a deep breath. You don't need to scream at me. Can you please stop attacking me? I-I've literally done nothing to you. I-I've always been kind to you."

What's going on?

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Are you jealous?"

"You are fucking worthless! You are probably just some PR stunt to boost you, your damn cousin, and Matthew!!"

"What? No! T-that's not what this is. We-we actually care about each other."

"Did he even say that he loves you? Hm? Did he?"

I looked down and shook my head.

"Exactly! He doesn't! You won't last another month!!"
