October 2021

The twins were now five months old and it seemed like Aurora and Chris were finally getting into the groove of raising four small children. Most people had larger gaps of around five years between each of their children, but Aurora and Chris's kids were all within a year or two of each other so it occasionally made things harder.

They had settled into a routine of what their days looked like. Neither of them were working at the moment and it would stay like that for at least another few months.

Aurora and Chris both woke up early in the morning and usually used it as an opportunity to spend some alone time together. They would both get in the shower together and occasionally it would involve a quicky followed by washing up. They would finish getting ready for the day before they split up to get the kids and breakfast ready. Eric was always the first one up so Chris would get him ready and then go get started on breakfast while Eric sat at the table and played with some toys. Aurora would then go get Jasmine ready and send her downstairs with her brother and dad. The last ones were Riley and Milo. Milo tended to be the calmer of the two so Aurora usually got him ready quickly before placing him back in his crib while she got Riley ready. He usually put up a fight when Aurora would change him and Milo would just wait patiently for her to finish. Once she was done with the two of them, she would make her way down to the dining area where Chris was usually setting the table for breakfast. They had their morning routines perfected.

"So what's the plan for today?" Aurora asked.

"Well Scott should be here soon. He had planned to come by and spend time with the kids, remember?"

"How could I forget," Aurora chuckled. "He reminded me multiple times yesterday so that I could bake him some cookies."

"He does love your cookies," Chris laughed. "After breakfast I was gonna stop by Target to buy more diapers."

"Ooh I'll go instead. I haven't done a Target run in a while."

"Are you sure? I don't mind going."

"No I want to. Just send me the list if there's anything else we need."

Once they were done with breakfast, Aurora went to put on a movie for the kids and then went to help Chris clean up.

The door suddenly opened. "The best uncle in the world has arrived!" They heard Scott shout, followed by little shrieks coming from Jasmine and Eric.

"Uncle Scott!"

Aurora and Chris quickly finished up before joining in the living room.

"Hey Scott."

"Hi Scott!"

"Hey guys! Aurora I hope you're getting started on my cookies," Scott teased.

"Don't worry," she laughed. "I'll make them a little later. Right now, I gotta go buy some things for the house so I'll be back soon."

"Kids, say bye to your mom."

"Bye mommy!"

"Bye my angels. I'll be back soon."

"Bye sweetheart," Aurora said before giving Chris a quick kiss.

"Drive safe," Chris smiled.

Aurora's trip to Target was quite quick. Living in Boston was so much calmer than living in Los Angeles, so she was able to go out without really worrying about being approached. She would get a few fans here and there ask for pictures but for the most part, people left her and her family alone.

She loved driving with her kids in the car but this was her one chance to really listen to her own music so she usually took advantage and sung her little heart out to every song that played.
