Your POV:
It's been eight days since I have been going to school. Yeonwoo and I have become really good friends within this span of time, and he is really interesting. His viewpoint, opinions and personality, all are really interesting. I wonder why his 'friends' had called him boring.
Also, a few new students have joined school in these days. One, however, caught my intrigue. That too because of Taehoon's reaction. This new student has joined school today. When the teacher asked him to introduce himself, and he said his name, 'Kang Sukwoon', I noticed, out of the corner of my eye, Taehoon tensing up. He sat up straighter, his jaw tightened, and although he was looking out of the window, it felt like he was glaring out the window. I also saw that Sukwoon smirked at Taehoon. Or maybe I was imagining it. I don't know.
Anyways, right now, it's a free period. Half the class is outside, doing whatever they feel like doing, and the other half is inside, completing an English essay (except for Taehoon, who, it seems, is sleeping). I'm doing the essay right now. In the previous period, miss Smith had assigned us our homework, the essay, and said that all students have to submit it after two days. So, I'm doing it right now so that I don't forget it later.
Also, within one week and a day, our English teacher has taken a fancy to me. She likes my accent, apparently. Besides, I am the only student save for Yeonwoo, who doesn't make silly grammatical errors. And since Yeonwoo was already a favorite of hers, I'm one now, as well. She has also applauded my imaginative skills. Four days ago, we had to write a short story starting with the sentence, "She noticed the lights flickering in the dimmed alleyway when she..." Anyways, long story short, while everyone wrote some horror story, I started with the feel of a horror story, and gave some plot twist, which made it a comedy for a short time, but then ended with a horror subtext.
Basically, what I did was that the protag. found some wounded person lying in the middle of the alleyway, and when he asked her for help, she thought that he could be a serial killer. But she helped him nonetheless, and all the while, I was purposely making him give off serial killer vibes. Then, he invited her to his house. She was skeptical, but he insisted. She didn't listen to him and ran away, and the man went away to his house, where he sadly told his wife that a good woman had helped him and refused to come home and have tea and play with the cats, but the wife reassured him that it was alright, and that even she was upset that she didn't get to show her knife collection to the woman, all the while grinning ominously while the man was simply upset and oblivious of his wife's intentions.
I wrote whatever came to mind and didn't expect it to actually be applauded by the teacher. Honestly, I think I wrote bullshit. But whatever. Favoritism, I guess.
Right now, Yeonwoo is also writing the essay. Suddenly, miss Smith pops in, and says, "(Y/N)?"
"Yes, miss Smith?" I answer, standing up.
"Can you please come into my office and do an errand for me?"
"Uh... surely, ma'am", I say, and walk away, when Yeonwoo whispers from behind, "Have a great time", which causes me to glare at him.
When I reach her office, she says, "Listen, (Y/N). These papers kept on the table are assignment papers of the younger classes. Do me a favor and arrange these in alphabetical order, will you?"
I look at the papers. Stacks of papers, actually. Five tall stacks of paper. But if I want to keep up my good girl image, I must agree.
"Sure, ma'am. It'll take some time, but I'll get it done before this free period ends. It ends in an hour and a half, right?" (Impractical, I know.)
"Indeed, it does. Thank you so much, (Y/N). Your help is much appreciated."
"It's no deal", I say, forcing a smile onto my face as she walks out speedily.
