"What Makes Them Human" is a science-fiction romance novella, that takes place in 2038 Detroit.
Following a violent escape from an abusive situation, James and his android Jessie are on the run. After a long battle James finds himself acquainted with another Android named Connor. Who he teams up with to escape the hell of the city.
This story was written to take place within the world of Detroit: Become Human, however it only uses characters and the setting. The plot is original, and thus you don't need to play the game at all to read this story. But I suggest you do if you can, it's a great game.
I also suggest reading this (if reading within the app) you make the text size the smallest setting possible. It helps with some formatting to look more presentable.
