Basically the same as the Anime, but one major change is that Takuya, Zoe, Koji, JP, Tommy and Koichi aren't the only Digi-Destined. Join these ten humans and their protector Aegiomon on their quest to save the Digital World from Cherubimon
The whole Digital World was in danger. Aegiomon, being hot-headed, decided to go to the Human world to look for the Legendary Warriors, but ended up meeting Takuya and the gang on a train to the Digital World.
Tommy wanted to go home, but he picked a really stupid way to do it. Aegiomon and Takuya tried to save him, but things got a little out of control. Bokomon and Neemon were running from Cerberumon, a Digimon who tried to destroy something called a "Spirit."
To make a long story short, Takuya merged with the Ancient Spirit of Flame and turned into Agunimon. Not bad for a goggle-head.
Takuya: What just happens to me? Takuya was currently staring off into space. Still perplexed by all that just happened.
Zoe: You mean before or after you turned into a Digimon?
Takuya: Me? A Digimon?
Bokomon: Yes. Through the process of Digivolution.
Takuya: Digi-what?
Aegiomon: Digivolution. It means you changed forms. A lot of Digimon are able to do it. And I guess Humans can too.
Takiya: It had to have been something I pressed. Takuya began to fiddle with his D-tector. Come on Digivolution start! Frustrated, he began to hit every random button hoping to get the same reaction. Operation: Turn me into a Digimon! Execute! Suddenly...
Voice: Fractal Code...rendered. Suddenly a large array of code burst out of the device.
Takuya: Oh, boy. I think I broke it.
Aegiomon: No. It's a Fractal Code of the Digital World! The code stretched and created more land. It connected the Flame Terminal to the forest.
Katsuhara: Did that just happen?
Teruo: I think so.
Takiya: Woah. Did I do that? Elsewhere, on a nearby Trailmon...

Koji: What is? He wondered, looking up at the data in the sky.
Bokomon: It's the Dawn of regeneration! He exclaimed in joy.
Neemon: No more living in a train station. Trailmon will never go "woot woot" in my ear again! The gang and some of the Digimon ran to the newly connected forest.
Bokomon: Nice going my human friend. By the way, I'm Bokomon. Keeper of the book, at your service.
Neemon: And I'm Neemon. Keeper of my pants. Also at your service, you awesome human.
Bokomon: On behalf of the Digital World, accept our thanks, O Human who restores what has been lost.
Takuya: Call me Takuya and I still don't know why all this Fractal a code stuff is such a big deal.
Bokomon: What? You really don't know?
Neemon: Oh. He doesn't know.
Aegiomon: They're not from here. How could they know about Cherubimon?
