I was about to eat my food when I felt Alex pull a chair and sat down across from me. I looked back to my plate and know I could feel someone looking at me from across the table knew She was looking at me as if I'm some sort of a puzzle or something .
She's one of those people who always want to know things, always curious, always trying to figure out what's going on in other people's heads.

I kept on answering his question although I was half listening
I don't know what to do but feel self conscious after feeling like someone was staring at me from across the room .
I looked up to see that it was alex staring at me.
I was still lost in those eyes when I felt someone talking to me and slamming their cutlery on the table with a loud slam gaining the attention of everyone on me.

"Why are they looking at me ? I curiously glanced around the room to realize athlea was still sitting across from and judging by the small noisy sound that was interrupting my thoughts it must have been Althea asking some questions .

"Are you even listening to me omega? She growled, her voice low and intimidating my heart races with fear and after mustering up the courage I finally retorted back.

I turned to her and yelled at her forgetting we were in a place crowded with a lot of people to begin with

"I don't want to answer any of your questions now can you leave me alone alpha" . I could see she was trying to suppress her wolf and anger at the same time so she looked around before giving me a forced smirk

"I will be back"

She was the Alpha of this pack and I couldn't let anyone bully me to talk when I don't want too just because she's the alpha.I mean who does she think she is asking me all those questions, she probably thinks she owns me or something.
I couldn't help myself but snap at her. I was already in a bad mood today already.
I knew she would come back and ask me the some questions again and I knew she wouldn't leave until she was satisfied but I hoped by the time she was back from talking with the other alpha's I would be done with my food by then but luck wasn't on my side when she came back sooner than expected.
My guess was right she came back again.

"Do you like Alex?

"Wh..at do you mean?

"Just answer my question omega

"I mean I don't hate her look why are you asking me this questions? " She raised an eyebrow still with a blank look on her face
"I don't want that kind of answer omega just answer yes or no mate" she was very serious
"Ok then, I love her"
I answered her with a serious expression trying to hide my amusement at the sudden turn of events but seemed like Alex believed me. She seemed so smart most of the times but sometimes she can be really stupid

She shook her head 'I don't believe you. You've never liked Alex.'

I highly doubt that you suddenly have feelings for her.
I couldn't help but smile. 'Well, believe what you want to believe. But I assure you, I do like Alex now.'

She gave me a suspicious look before walking away. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. My sarcastic response had definitely caught her off guard.

Well I guess this conversation didn't go bad as I imagined and best of all am finally left alone to have my breakfast in peace.

Althea's pov
As I sit in my office, staring at the wall in front of me, my mind is consumed with thoughts of anger and betrayal. My hands ache from the force of my punches, but I couldn't care less.

I noticed something was wrong the moment Alex kept on staring at my mate but didn't think much of it.
I know this is all a game of Alex to get to me but still I feel bothered by it all.

I know I don't deserve to be jealous but a small part of me felt jealous and betrayed

I couldn't help but wonder Is it even possible for someone to fall in love with someone else within a short time?

"Had mike truly fallen for Alex?

Only time will tell!
