"Am sorry" I blurted out before I could stop myself ,she looked at me confused at my sudden outburst

"Is that all you got to say after parading yourself as a who're ? Now the whole guest knows you have some other alpha scent on you while reeking with arousal"  I gasped out not because of the fact that everyone already thinks am a horny omega who would do anything just to cheat on their mate But because of her hurtful words . I could help but feel my eyes becoming cloudy from tears

"I didn't do anything I swear at least am not like you" I blurted out In anger besides can you let me go you are hurting me. Instead of her letting me go her grip on me just got tighter .

"You may be the alpha, Althea, but I'm not just a submissive omega. I have teeth, and I won't hesitate to use them if you keep pushing me."

Althea's eyes narrowed, her grip on my arm tightening. "You dare to threaten me?" she growled, her voice dripping with menace.

Mike's heart raced, but he refused to back down. "I'm not threatening you, Althea. I'm promising you. You may have power, but I have my own strength, and I won't be intimidated."

The air was charged with tension as we both faced off, our eyes locked in a fierce stare-down.

Just as Althea's grip tightened, a knock at the door broke the tension.

Althea's eyes never left Mike's face, but her grip relaxed slightly. "Enter," she growled.

The door opened, and a young omega entered stepped inside. "Alpha the King wants to speak with you"

I could see her groan in frustration before angrily walking off not before using her nails to dig into my skin and smirking before leaving like it's a reminder for what was yet to come.

"I remained frozen, trying to catch my breath and process the emotional turmoil that had just unfolded. Althea's words still lingered in my mind, a harsh reminder of her disrespect towards me

Finally, I summoned the courage to move, my legs trembling as I made my way to my own room. I felt like a prisoner escaping a dungeon, seeking solace in the small sanctuary that was mine alone.

As I closed the door behind me, I leaned against it, letting out a shaky sigh. My heart still raced, my mind reeling with thoughts of what could have happened if that omega hadn't opened the door

I knew I had to find a way  to stay away from Althea as much as I can as long as I could avoid it

I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the long night ahead.

********************************

As I moved through the dinning hall , I could feel the weight of judgmental gazes upon me. The other alphas and guests seemed repulsed by my perceived infidelity, whispering among themselves about how I could cheat on a mate like Althea - a mate many of them coveted for themselves. But I didn't care about their opinions or their envy. If only they knew the truth, that being bound to Althea was a prison, not a privilege. I was the one who was truly unlucky, trapped in a bond with a mate who cared only for her own power and control."

As I carried my food to my table, I couldn't help but feel like a zoo animal under scrutiny. Everyone was still staring at me, whispering to each other. I just wanted to eat in peace.

Just as I was about to sit down, a friendly voice interrupted my thoughts. "Hey, mind if I join you? I'm Jake."
Jake's got a warm, sun-kissed look going on, with golden-brown hair that's perfectly messy. He's dressed down in a relaxed fit, think faded jeans and a comfy tee, giving off a chilled-out vibe that's totally his style.

I turned to see a warm smile and a friendly face. "Not at all," I replied, grateful for the distraction.

Jake sat down across from me and started unpacking his own food. "So, Mike, what brings you to this lovely celebration?"

I chuckled. "Just came with my mate   I shrugged and Trying to stay out of trouble."

Jake laughed. "Trouble seems to find you, huh? I've noticed people staring at you all day."

I shrugged, trying to play it off. "Just a little drama, that's all."

Jake nodded understandingly. "Well, I'm glad I found you . I was starting to think I was the only male omega here".

We both laughed, and for the first time that day, I felt like I could relax.

"Seriously, dude, I can't believe you're mated to Alpha Althea," Jake said casually, oblivious to the tension that flared up inside me. I struggled to keep my emotions in check, hiding the resentment and anger I'd been harboring towards her since our last confrontation. Little did Jake know, I'd been actively avoiding my mate.

Jake's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What's it like being mated to the most powerful alpha in the region?"

I forced a neutral tone, careful not to reveal my true feelings. "It's... interesting."

Jake chuckled. "I bet. I've heard rumors about Althea's, shall we say, 'strong personality'."

I raised an eyebrow, trying to appear nonchalant. "Rumors? Never!"Jake laughed, unaware of the tension between Althea and me. "Well, I'm sure it's not easy being her mate. But hey, at least you've go Alex to balance things out, right?"
"What? , What are you talking about?"

Jake's grin grew wider. "Oh, come on, Mike! I'm not blind. I've seen the way you two interact. There's definitely something there, even if you won't admit it."

I shook my head, trying to appear convincing. "You're reading too much into it, Jake. Alex and I are just friends. We bond over our shared... appreciation for Archery ".

Jake chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Sure, sure. Keep telling yourself that, Mike. But I know what I've seen.

Suddenly Jake's expression turned serious, his voice low and warning. "Mike, I'm not trying to stir up drama, but I've seen the way Althea looks at you, and I know she's not a person to be trifled with. If she suspects something is going on between you and Alex, she'll stop at nothing to eliminate the threat. You need to be careful, for your own sake."

I  nodded firmly  "I get it, Jake. Just be careful, okay? I don't want to see you get hurt."
