Ophelia's pov;

The dense woods engulfed me as I sprinted, heart pounding in my chest. Fear clung to every step, each breath a reminder of the sinister game Killian had thrust me into. My surroundings offered no solace – just endless trees, their looming shadows casting an eerie blanket over the forest.

Thoughts raced through my mind as panic set in. Where could I run when the only path was an endless labyrinth of trees? I couldn't discern a clear direction, and the deafening silence of the woods heightened my anxiety.

I considered doubling back, attempting to outsmart Killian by retracing my steps, but the dense foliage blurred my sense of direction. The possibility of his menacing presence lurking behind any tree intensified the urgency of my escape.

Time seemed to warp as I navigated the labyrinthine terrain. The uneven ground beneath my feet posed a constant threat, and the rustling leaves served as a haunting symphony, echoing my desperation.

The minutes ticked away, the oppressive stillness of the woods amplifying the sound of my labored breaths. My mind raced with questions: What happens if he catches me? Where can I find refuge in this endless sea of trees?

The cold wind whispered through the branches, carrying a chilling reminder that my escape was far from guaranteed. A sudden realization struck me – there was no escaping this elaborate game Killian had orchestrated. Whether I ran for 15 minutes or an eternity, the woods held no sanctuary.

As the forest closed in around me, the next chapter of my terrifying journey unfolded, with each step leading me deeper into the heart of the unknown.

Tears blurred my vision as I stumbled through the dense undergrowth, my breath ragged and labored. Fear gnawed at my insides, a relentless reminder of the danger that lurked behind me. I had lost track of time, but my aching limbs and pounding heart told me I had been running for far too long.

Suddenly, through the thick canopy of trees, I caught sight of a waterfall cascading down into a pool below. It seemed like a fleeting glimpse of hope in the suffocating darkness of the forest. With renewed determination, I pushed forward, my legs protesting with each step.

As I drew closer, the roar of the waterfall drowned out the sound of my own ragged breaths. My eyes scanned the rocky terrain, searching for any sign of refuge. And then, amidst the crashing water, I spotted it – a small cave concealed behind the veil of the waterfall.

Adrenaline surged through my veins, overriding the pain in my scraped knees and battered hands. With a surge of desperate energy, I clambered up the rocky slope, my fingers gripping onto the slick surface with a fierce determination. Every scrape, every bruise, served as a reminder of the stakes at hand – escape or capture.

Despite the burning ache in my muscles and the sting of fresh wounds, I pushed myself upward, driven by the primal instinct to survive. Each inch gained felt like a victory against the looming threat that pursued me relentlessly.

Finally, panting and trembling, I reached the shelter of the cave, my chest heaving with exertion. The roar of the waterfall provided a comforting blanket of noise, drowning out the sounds of pursuit. I collapsed onto the rocky floor, tears mingling with the spray of water as I sought refuge in the sanctuary of the hidden alcove.

In that moment, as the adrenaline of the chase began to ebb away, I realized the true extent of my determination – to defy the odds, to elude my captor, and to cling onto the fragile thread of hope that whispered of freedom in the depths of the forest.

I start looking around the cave only to see a small light coming from the end of the tunnel.

The dim light at the end of the cave tunnel beckoned to me like a glimmer of hope in the oppressive darkness. With hesitant steps, I ventured forward, my heart pounding with a mixture of fear and anticipation.

Every shadow seemed to twist and contort, morphing into menacing shapes that loomed over me. My senses were heightened, every sound echoing through the cavernous space, magnified by the eerie silence of the cave.

As I drew closer to the source of light, my breath caught in my throat. What awaited me at the end of this tunnel? Would it be salvation or merely another cruel twist of fate?

With trembling hands, I reached out to touch the rough walls of the cave, using them as a guide through the murky depths. Each step felt like a journey into the unknown, a leap of faith into the abyss.

Finally, I emerged into the soft glow of daylight, blinking against the sudden brightness. My eyes slowly adjusted to the surroundings, revealing a breathtaking sight before me.

The cave opened up into a small clearing, bathed in the golden light of the sun. Lush greenery surrounded me, the gentle rustle of leaves offering a comforting contrast to the oppressive silence of the cave.

In the distance, I could hear the gentle murmur of the waterfall, a reminder of the treacherous path that had led me here. But in this moment, all I could feel was a profound sense of relief – relief at having escaped the clutches of my captor, even if only temporarily.

Yet, amidst the beauty of the natural world, a nagging sense of unease lingered in the back of my mind. I knew that my ordeal was far from over, that the threat of capture still loomed over me like a shadow.

It was so beautiful, it looked almost magical. So many different flowers were surrounding me, the trees were tall and magnificent. I see a small bench next to big tall tree. I move to sit there and I can feel myself getting more tired as the time passes. I lay myself down on the bench and closes my eyes, just for a second to gather my energy agin. Then I will continue running.

Just a few seconds,
That all.

A short short nap,
Then I will wake up

Those were my last thoughts before I fell into a deep sleep...
