ALEKSANDER
"Another date?"
Jessica and I are having breakfast in t
he back patio, we still don't have groceries so its leftovers again.
"Yes," I lick the pizza sauce on her finger and she blushes.
"Fine but it has to be a place where this baby won't stand out, I think I might pull a Pretty Woman tonight." She holds her neck where the diamond encrusted ruby necklace lays.
She puts it on the moment she finished brushing her teeth which is why I am currently wearing sunglasses during breakfast.
"If you get to wear your bracelet, I get to show off mine" she counted when she slipped on her own sunglasses and of course I kissed her.
It really feels good to kiss her again
"Then it shall be a dinner date," I look at the empty yard and remember Holly. "What should we do in the meantime?" I ask when she holds my hand to get me back.
"Grocery shopping," Jessica looks at our plates. "I also need to find a dress good enough to go with this" she points at her chest and it makes me smile because her nipples are showing.
"Shopping it is," I'll do anything that will take me out of the house.
For once, Jessica and I are like a normal couple as we walk hand in hand in the mall with her shopping bags in my hand. She found dress options, yes plural and shoes to match.
Since she won't let me pay for anything, I insisted she use her bonus because I have all the intentions of replacing it.
"No." I shake my head when she points at a Sephora.
"But I need the perfect red lipstick," she pouts and I look away so I don't give in.
I have heard stories about women and this store, I don't want to be stuck sitting down while she buys makeup.
"Jessica—"
"Please honey," she kisses me. "I'll even comprise and I'll do anything you want."
Anything?
I pull out my phone and press the bank app and a few minutes later, Jessica's Christmas bonus is returned to her account.
"Wait, no. I just meant—" I kiss her to cut her off.
"You said anything and I want to spoil you today, so all the shopping is on me." I exhale, "Let's go burn plastic in Sephora."
Eighty-three minutes and $2,720 later, we finally make it out of the store where I am sure male pride dies.
"Are you okay honey?" Jessica has the biggest smile on her face, "aren't you buying anything today?"
I shake my head.
"North America is my least favorite continent to shop in" her face falls when she looks at her numerous shopping bags so I add. "But I could always use more sunglasses."
I let her lead me away.
Like promised, Jessica walks down the stairs later in the evening in a red, off the shoulder gown with side slits. The necklace sparkles on her defined neck and her lips stand out because her hair is pinned up in a bun.
"Death by red," it slips out but it makes her smile.
It's the type that amplifies my heart malfunction, the one that she can't help but have. The one that makes me want to kiss her just so she knows I appreciate it.
