17:59 october 11th - Third person pov
The shooting rage was covered in the cold water drops from the rain all night, the breeze blowing her coffee brown hair around. She didn't care and not that it mattered, Spider's aim was still spot on. She shot every target with perfect accuracy, hearing the metal pierce through the center. She was getting her practice in, her last mission was a success but she still wanted to improve. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned around after her last shot, in her view her base sergeant came walking to Spider with a folder in his grip.

"Malcom, that the next mission?" her soft but firm voice spoke out.

"No ma'am, you're being transferred to task force 141."

"You know I work alone."

"It's more of a demand than a suggestion. The captain requested you, your aim and knife skills are one of the best."

"When do I leave?"

"Tomorrow 21:00 sharp, see you around Spider."

With that, the sergeant gave her the folder, turned on his heels and marched toward the corridors. Spider was confused, not even a weeks advance? Strange. Stuck in her head, the lieutenant carelessly walked to the barracks to collect what she had left of her life.

21:00 october 12th - Spiders pov
Nodding to Malcom for the last time, I silently said goodbye. I don't see the point in small talk, it's for the best or that's what I keep telling myself. I got myself into this ranking because of my stealth, intelligence, speed, strength and my honesty and will be damned if I let my new team define who I am when I walk into the base. Trying to mentally prepare myself, realizing I have a tight grip around my coordinate SMG, maybe I have attachment issues to this gun, that's what Malcom says, talking about how it's weird to name a gun Viper. I could care less, he's degrading me for a weapon that got me to the title lieutenant. The flights are dreadful and annoyingly long not to piss myself off anymore I decide i'm going to give in to what my bodies been telling me and take a quick nap, one wont hurt.

Fluttering my heavy eyelids open, I turn my head to the window and see the plane is now on the ground and honestly my hair could look better. I grab my duffle bag in one hand and steadily walk off the plane into a lot with a man waiting for me. I would be lying if I said he looked intimidating, his beard and bucket hat gave a slight warmth to the man standing in front of me with his hand out in front, waiting for a handshake.

"You must be Lieutenant Spider, I'm Captain Price. Nice to meet you." his british accent rang out.

"Yes sir, nice to meet you too." I gladly gave the same gratitude back along with a hand shake.

"Come inside, the team is waiting for you."

All I could do was nod, I wasn't nervous but I also wasn't going to offer my hand out like the Captain. As we approached the door he opened it for me to step inside. I was met with 3 men, mohawk, mask, and hazel eyes. They all scanned me with their eyes weary about the person in front of them having their trust and being on the field with guns. The first one to walk forward was the one in the mohawk, he wasn't hostile but instead held his hand out with a bright smile on his face.

"Hello, I'm Sergeant McTavish, but just call me Soap."

"Spider." is all that came out of my mouth with a slight nod and smile. I wasn't going to be aggressive, I just didn't have much to say.

"Alright boys, let's not let Soap take all the spotlight, go on introduce yourselves." Captain Price said with a light laugh and smile on his face once again.

As if it was on cue, both men came forward. The masked man was at least over 6 foot and the other looked skeptical, almost judging me with his facial expressions alone.

"Kyle Garrick, call sign Gaz." with a joyful voice he held out his hand unexpectedly.

I shook his hand and also gave him a nod, he already knew my name. I'm guessing he's read my file too. The last one left, the masked man with a skull attached to it did not extend his hand which I must say i'm grateful for. I'm not a physical touch person unless it comes to romantic relationships even if it is just a handshake.

"Ghost." His gruff deep voice filled the room, eyes pierced into my soul like none of the other men.

I looked him up and down before staring into his eyes like he was in the moment. I won't lie, he was very intimidating with his height, eyes, voice and appearance but I knew there's nothing behind those eyes except pain.

"Okay.." The captain was obviously trying to excuse his other lieutenant staring at me after only saying one word before continuing. "Soap, please show Spider here her room."

Soap started to walk down the hall before stopping with an expression i've never seen before in a soldier, was that.. excitement?

"Can I give you a tour after I show you your room? It would be helpful if you want to join us for dinner tonight." His scottish accent comes in strong with the happiness of his voice.

"alright, sure." Is all I muttered out. I didn't hate the scott, I was just in an uncomfortable and unfamiliar place is all, he didn't seem to mind my response.

"You know, you and the other lieutenant talk the same, always short, brief sentences" he chuckled, continuing to walk me to my room.

"Ghost is the other lieutenant?"

"Yeah, but I think you're going to be more fun than grumpy pants back there."

With a slight smile on my face we made it to my door. I gave a nod and thanked him before walking into the empty and oddly eerie room. There was no breeze and the silence was loud, the floors were bare and dusty along with the walls. I started to unpack, only taking essentials out of the duffle bag and hanging my clothes up in my closet. After doing so, there were 3 knocks on the door, walking quietly to it I opened it, met with Soap who stood there.

"It's dinner time, I'll walk you there if you want."

I wasn't used to someone always talking to me, Malcom always knew how to give me space and I had a feeling Soap was holding back everything in his head not to talk mine off.

"Oh okay." I said with a smile, I wasn't going to look rude with my short responses, this was going to be my team after all and he seemed to be the most happy and accepting that I was here, it was the least I could do.
