10 - Here For a Reason

The knocking at the door continued as we stood.Eventually,Meggy had the courage to open it.She walked to the door and slowly turned the handle,her eyes widening.Below her laid..SMG3.He was injured yet his clothes weren't tore,though his face was covered in bandages.

Meggy: 3!

She knelt down and took SMG3 in her arms,carefully pulling him up.

Tari: Is he okay?

Meggy: I hope so..SMG4 must've done something.

She led SMG3 to the bed and gently laid him down.SMG3 curled up,lightly scratching at his arm.

Meggy: Hey Saiko,you have that med kit on you still,right?

Saiko searched her bag and took out the kit.Meggy took it in hand and before walking over to 3,though she was stopped by a hand on her shoulder.

Melony: Meggy,are you sure he's alive?..What if he's infected?

Meggy: ..I'm sure..But also not?.I don't really know.

Meggy sighed and placed the kit besides the bed,saving it for when needed.

Meggy: We should probably get some sleep now,it's been a while and..I'm not sure how long we'll be here for..What if 4 keeps us here until..We're all dead.

The room was silent until Bob chimed in.

Bob: If that's the case,call me a dead man..Again.But besides that,I'm not letting that emo edge lord sleep in my bed.

Saiko: Does it really matter?Most of us have been sleeping on the floor for f#ck's sake,even Mario sleeps on the damn windowsill!

Mario: Hey,don't you put that on the discomfort list,Mario can assure you that place is a great bed,if you're in the right position.

Saiko: And what is said position,looking like a tangle got broken in two?You know what,I'm sick of being trapped here,I only came to watch a horror movie,not live one!

Tari: Saiko,please calm down-

Saiko: No,I'm not having this!I'm staying up from now on,I don't care if I lose sleep,I have had enough!

Saiko turned to the corner and sat down,isolating herself from the remaining group.Tari did try to help but Meggy denied.The room's lights turned off and they went to their "beds".Though meanwhile in the night,Meggy slowly woke up to hear some murmuring coming from SMG3,under the bandages.

???: Quite a tune,isn't it?

Meggy: Huh.?

Meggy looked besides her,seeing SMG4 standing over her bed.

Meggy: Wha- How did you get in.?

SMG4: Those planks on the door have been gone for some time,I've moved them to the main entrance,but that's not what I'm here to talk with you about..

Meggy: Then..W-Why are you here?

Meggy wondered,sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

SMG4: Well it's been a while since we've interacted,did you forget I could speak in this form?

Meggy: I..Yeah I guess.

SMG4: What a friend.Anyway,you said that I'll kill everyone.You're sadly wrong.

Meggy: Sadly..Wrong?

SMG4: That was my plan..But you have some sort of..Shield around you.

Meggy: A..What.?

SMG4: Let me say this more properly..You will be alone when this little massacre and by trying to leave,it'll only make things worse.

Meggy: what..No,I won't let you do that.Even if you're possessed or maybe not SMG4,you are going down with us.

SMG4: Your efforts are useless.People do try to get out of sh#t or even fail at what they're meant to do!..But either way,they're still trapped,aren't they?

Meggy was speechless,not knowing how to argue back.SMG4 slowly got up,looking back at her.

SMG4: Just to know,you'll probably be last on my list.But I know it'll be easy getting rid of you from all this "insanity".

Meggy: Insanity?But I haven't gone insane yet..Have I?

SMG4: From my view,yes.I mean,literally sending out people other than yourself to get things to survive?That's just sacrifices..Speaking of letting people outside,you should probably find Mario and that cotton candy girl before I do.

With that,SMG4 left and Meggy looked around the room,seeing the two weren't there.

Meggy: No..

She quickly ran out the door,purposely tackling SMG4.

Meggy: Where are they!?

SMG4: You think I know,that I could possibly have X-ray vision.

Meggy pulled him up by the collar,staring down at him.

Meggy: Tell.Me..

SMG4 sighed in defeat then pointed to the kitchen.Meggy dropped him then ran over.
