After throwing SMG3's body down in the basement,they went back to the room as Melony woke up.
Melony: Is it over yet.?
Meggy: Not yet,but we can still get through this.
Tari: How?!SMG4's taking us down one by one!
Meggy: I know,maybe we could somehow distract him..Mario,you annoying SMG4 the most.
Mario: Mario got a badge for that.
Meggy: You could keep him occupied while we take down the planks on the door.
Mario was a bit hesitant,not following through.
Meggy: I bet Luigi has some nice spaghetti waiting for you at home.
Mario's head perked up and nodded.
Meggy: Great!Now,let's do this.
The three of them stood in the main room while Mario waited at SMG4's door.Tari's meta arm became the shape of a screwdriver as she began taking the nails out of the planks.Mario walked into SMG4's room with a grin.
Mario: SMG4,look who's he-
Mario cut himself off as he saw SMG4 munching down on the jam remains of SMG3's body,he honestly felt sick.SMG4 turned around,looking at him in annoyance.
SMG4: What now,red plumber..
Mario: Uh..Mario wants to put on a show!
SMG4 raised a brow and stood up,wiping the jam from his mouth.
SMG4: Make it quick,I have dinner to finish.
Mario: O-Okie-Dokie..
Meanwhile with the girls,Tari was almost finished with the planks.
Meggy: Yes,keep going!
Melony looked behind her,seeing a green,stubby hand creeping towards her.
Melony: ..Boopkins.?
She knelt down to inspect it,not knowing it would grab her arm.Melony screamed in fear,Making Meggy turn back.
Meggy: MELONY!!
She ran after her and the hand,which went towards the bathroom.Meggy caught up but not in the right timing as the door was locked shut as soon as she got there.Meggy pounded her fists at the door.
Meggy: MELONY!!BRING HER BACK!BRING HER BACK YOU F#CKING SADISTIC THING!!
Meggy broke down crying,holding her head down against the door.
Meggy: Why..Why did she have to go next.?
Tari caught up to Meggy,placing her hand on her shoulder.
Tari: I-I'm sure she's fine-
Meggy: NO SHE ISN'T!YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE OF US GOES MISSING!I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE SO JUST LET US GO!!
Tari backed up,concerned by the outburst.
Tari: O-Okay..I'll get the final plank off.
Meggy watched as Tari walked off,worried about if she made her upset.She put her head back on the door,but noticed something come out of the guest room..It was the mask that approached her from the basement.It came over and rested in Meggy's hands.She looked down at it,small tears falling down her face and onto the mask.
Meggy: What are you?..Why did you come to us,we didn't do anything.!
Meggy didn't expect a reply before hearing whispers.
Mask: this is not your home...we're here to rescue you..
Meggy: W-What.?
Mask: these are not your friends..they're not originals..
Meggy: What are you-..What are you talking about.
Mask: we're..your saviours..i'm not lying..how about you put me on..
Meggy looked down at the mask,the feeling of fear crawling through her.
Meggy: ..I'll do it.
Loud noises came from SMG4's room as Mario played loud cringe memes on the TV,SMG4 being forced to listen as he had been tied up with cables.Mario was dancing along,kinda just being his annoying self.SMG4's eye twitched before the lights in the room flickered,the TV switching off.The glow from SMG4's eyes disappeared as he blinked.
SMG4: Huh..Wha- MARIO?!
Mario turned his head towards SMG4,his eyes widen but happy.
Mario: SMG4,YOU'RE BACK!!
He launched himself at SMG4,hugging him tightly.
SMG4: Yeah,I am..Will you untie me?
Mario: Oh,yeah.
He took the cables off SMG4,helping him stand.
SMG4: What's happening,why were you blasting music.?
Mario: Uh..Late night disco.?
SMG4 looked at Mario,not believing him.
Mario: ..Mario will tell you later just-
Tari opened up the door in excitement.
Tari: Mario,the door's open!
She then saw SMG4 untied and freaked out.
Tari: Mario,get away from him!
Mario: It's cool,he's back to normal.Where's Meggy?
Tari turned to the bathroom door,seeing Meggy was no longer sat there.
Tari: Uhh..I don't know.
Meggy pulled off the mask in horror,staring down at the dismembered body of Melony.She was horrified at her actions and her gaze turned to the mask.
Meggy: You..Controlled me..H-How did you..
Mask: it is just a lovely trick I love doing!It also works on the deceased..
Meggy: ..Creepy,but are we going to hide the parts.?
Mask: Ooo,you want to play a game of point at the joints!I love your style already.
Meggy: N-No but-..Actually,I guess it would be fun.?
Mask: Yes!!You are going to be my favourite!Now,put me back on,you must be exhausted!
Meggy smiled,a little worried as she strapped the mask back on her face.
