Chapter 41

Aries chuckled and kissed Gemini's cheek. “You don't have to do it,” he whispered. He didn't want to break the promise that he and Gemini made. He was going to tell Gemini about Pavo Strauss eventually, but he didn't think Gemini would have found out. He furrowed his brows. Who told Gemini about Pavo Strauss's actual cause of death?

Gemini slowly nodded. He smiled softly and kissed Aries on the lips. He wasn't going to tell Aries that he was at the stage of pregnancy where sex was safe. He wrapped his arms around Aries's neck and pulled away. Aries slowly closed his eyes, and he wrapped his arms around Gemini's waist. He didn't care. He was glad that Gemini was safe and sound. “How did you find out?” He asked. He needed to know. He knew that Libra and Taurus wouldn't have told a single soul, so how did Gemini find out?

“Well, hubby… I found your journal,” Gemini giggled. Aries blushed intensely. He had only kept one journal in his life, and that journal was full of his love and feelings for Gemini. Ge groaned and covered his face. Gemini stroked Aries's auburn hair gently. He didn't know that his husband could be such a poet. “I was going through some stuff in the attic when I found the journal. I wasn't going to read it because it was yours, but I couldn't help myself. I'm sorry.” Aries pouted. He knew he shouldn't have brought the journal with him when they moved to their mansion, but he loved reading through his old entries. Gemini traced his hand along Aries's jaw. “I knew you had feelings for me, but I didn’t know they were so strong. How long have you kept up your cold facade?”

“About… Forever?” Aries answered, also unsure by how long he had to keep his cold appearance. He rubbed his jaw slowly and looked at Gemini. He didn't want to look weak around Gemini, but his plans backfired. He ended up hurting Gemini on several occasions, and those pains and guilt had been eating his mind for years. He bit the bottom of his lips. He hurt his wife, but Gemini never got mad at him and never yelled at him. Well, except for the times Aries had hurt others. “You know my father… He's a monster.”

Gemini nodded. He smiled softly, caressing Aries's cheek. “Yes he is, but he's changing,” he whispered. “I can tell.” Aries snorted and started laughing. He nodded in agreement. His father was changing. His father was more docile now that two of his kids were expecting babies. He would send a plethora of gifts to the married couple without notice. Aries chuckled. He couldn't believe that his father had a caring personality. His father was trying to change the past, but Aries was never going to forgive his father for what he did to him and his siblings. 

Aries looked at Gemini, and he frowned sadly. “Gem… Let's go early. There's something that's been eating my mind.”

“What? You think I'm falling out of love with you?” Gemini asked, gasping at Aries's words. Aries slowly nodded. He bit the inside of his cheek and looked over to the side. He wouldn't be surprised if Gemini would fall out of love with him. He was mean to his wife, and his father was abusive to Gemini. Gemini furrowed his brows, and he cupped Aries's cheek. “Would I call you Hubby instead of Aries if I didn't love you? Would I be doing our play if I didn't love you? If I didn't love you, I wouldn't have been carrying our babies.” 

Aries's eyes widened in shock, and he sniffled. He started sobbing as he grabbed Gemini's hand. Gemini’s bottom lip quivered. “Aries Alexandria Arlington,” he said softly, “I loved you ever since I could start walking. I knew that you were the one for me… For fuck sake, I was five years old, in love with you and thought you were a god. Do you know how happy I was when your dad arranged for us to get married?” Aries shook his head. He sniffled, and he wrapped his arms around Gemini's waist. Gemini smiled softly. His brows lowered as he kissed Aries's nose. “I was so happy when I got home that I started crying tears of happiness. I was getting engaged to you, the man that I've loved since I was a baby. Aries, I can never fall put of love with you. Our babies are our love combined.”
