It was Heartstrings Day, and Cancer was busy making chocolate covered strawberries for his date with Capricorn. Capricorn was currently at his morning lectures, and he wouldn't arrive back at the apartment until eleven-thirty. Cancer was glad that his classes were in the afternoon, and his morning classes were online and extremely easy. He hummed an upbeat tune as he dipped the last strawberry into a bowl full of melted milk chocolate. There were three bowls on the kitchen island: milk chocolate, white chocolate, and pink chocolate. On four small plates were a different variety of sprinkles, and there were three piping bags with extremely small tips. Cancer was excited. He wasn't the best cook, but he loved cooking for Capricorn.

He hummed as he set the last strawberry on the parchment paper. He looked up at the clock and gasped. "Oh, I better get my homework done," he whispered. He looked back down at the baking pan and saw the row of chocolate-covered strawberries. He wanted to continue decorating the fruits and make them presentable for Capricorn, but his assignment for his Kingdom History class was important. He huffed and took off his apron. He set the apron beside the baking sheet and walked to his bedroom. He was going to let the chocolate harden before decorating.

He walked down the spacious bedroom of his apartment, and he stopped in front of a black door. He grabbed the silver door knob, and he walked into the bedroom. He looked at his bed and pouted. Ever since Capricorn moved into the apartment, Cancer found a few things that he didn't like about Capricorn. His boyfriend was a clean and organized person, but he moved around a lot in his sleep. Cancer huffed and walked over to the messy bed. He smoothed out the wrinkly blanket before folding it neatly. He hummed another song to himself as he continued smoothing out the wrinkles on the satin pillows and cream-colored bed sheet.

He smiled, proud of his cleaning. He walked over to his desk and sat down on his ergonomic chair. He let out a tired yawn and opened up his silver laptop. He hummed when he heard the door slam shut. He turned around and saw Capricorn standing inside the bedroom. Capricorn was breathing heavily, and sweat was rolling down his forehead. He looked at Cancer and exclaimed, "Cancer! There you are!"

Cancer snorted and asked, "Babe? What're you doing here?" He let out a loud scream when Capricorn tackled him with a hug. He laughed as he hugged Capricorn back. "Babe?"

"I forgot it was Heartstrings Day," Capricorn answered. "I'm so sorry!" He pressed a long and passionate kiss on Cancer's cheek. He was walking back from his lecture when he got a text message from Scorpio, asking what he was going to give Cancer on Heartstrings Day. He couldn't believe he forgot such an important holiday. He looked Cancer straight in the eyes and kissed his forehead. "I promise never to forget it ever again!"

Cancer snorted and laughed happily. "Oh, babe! You don't have to apologize!" He exclaimed and kissed Capricorn's cheek. He looked at his laptop and huffed. "I have to do something first. You can go enjoy the chocolate-covered strawberries I made."

"What?" Capricorn asked with confusion. He did remember smelling chocolate when he entered the apartment, but he was too panicky to realize. Cancer couldn't help but laugh even harder. He cooed when he saw Capricorn blushing and pouting. He puffed Capricorn's hair and kissed his forehead.

"I made some strawberries for you," Cancer answered. "Go enjoy it while I complete my history assignment."

"Fine," Capricorn replied, dejected and embarrassed by his own stupidity. He moved away from Cancer and walked back to the door. He ambled out the bedroom; his shoulders were low and arched forehead. Capricorn walked into the kitchen and saw the baking sheet. He noticed the bowls of melted chocolate and the plates of sprinkles. He felt even more horrible for not remembering the holiday. Cancer must have been working on the sweet treats for hours. Capricorn looked back at the hallway, and he smiled weakly.
