Chapter 16*

Gemini groaned. He felt a horrible wet sensation underneath him. He rubbed his baby bump. Something felt wrong. His bump felt lumpy. He looked down and saw blood pooling around him. Gemini gasped. He screamed when he felt a painful sensation spread through his body. It felt like his stomach was being ripped open. He screamed out for Aries, but there was no answer. "You damned whore!" A deep voice screamed. Gemini looked at the person, and it was a man with graying hair, and his golden eyes pierced Gemini's soul. The man grabbed Gemini's curly white hair. "Because of you, this engagement is void! You should have aborted those damn babies, but I will kill them for you! It is my duty as your father-in-law!"

"N-No, y-your excellency, don't! Please!" Gemini cried. He already lost his babies. They were dead now. He let out a blood-curdling dream when the man kicked his stomach. It was excruciating. The pain was horrible. He could barely breathe. He could feel his twins dying. They were dying, and their grandfather was killing them. Gemini sobbed loudly. "No! No! Stop! My b-babies!"

"My babies!" Gemini screamed as he wrapped his arms around his baby bump. Aries and Gemini were at the Arlington palace since Aries's parents were insistent on them spending the break at the palace. Aries was hesitant because of Gemini's night terrors. The dreams always involved his father, Duke Phoenix, forcibly aborting Gemini's twins. Gemini screamed as tears ran down his cheeks rapidly. He shot up and gasped for air.

Aries slowly sat up. This was the reason why he didn't want to bring Gemini to the palace. Gemini was already scared of Phoenix, and now this pregnancy caused his fear to be even worse. Gemini somehow managed to hide the fact that he was pregnant by wearing oversized hoodies and a huge coat. However, his mother, Cetus, and Aries's mother, Monoceros, caught on fairly quickly, but they decided to keep Gemini's pregnancy a secret from their husbands.

Gemini sobbed quietly. He covered his face with his hands. He was so scared. He was scared that the engagement would be called off the moment Phoenix found out about the pregnancy. Aries enveloped Gemini in a loving hug. He listened to Gemini's distraught cries. It was painful to listen to. Gemini gasped and pushed Aries away. He pulled the blanket away and took a deep breath of relief. He was fine. His babies were fine and healthy. That was what the physician said.

Gemini gulped. He wiped away his tears. "What will your father do to us?" He asked. Aries didn't know and shrugged. All he knew was that Phoenix would get enraged. Phoenix's rules were strict, and if any of the rules were broken, the engagement was called off immediately. An unexpected pregnancy was one of the rules; a rule that Aries purposely broke to protest against his father. His eyes darkened. That was right. He had tried many times to break the engagement before by breaking all the rules except for one: getting Gemini pregnant.

Now that Gemini was actually pregnant, the possibility was high. Aries growled under his breath. He pulled Gemini close and hugged him tightly. Gemini gasped for air. He cried quietly and hugged Aries tightly. "My darling, my father will not intervene with our engagement," Aries reassured. "And I will protect you, no matter what."

Gemini nodded. He let go of Aries. He smiled weakly. "Thank you, hubby," he whispered and kissed Aries on the lips. Aries kissed back and rubbed Gemini's stomach gently. Gemini was three months pregnant, and his baby bump was small but growing. He would be entering his second trimester soon, and he was scared. His baby bump would start to grow more and more; his cravings would become more intense; and he would have even more mood swings.

Gemini hummed happily. He loved how Aries's calloused hands felt on his stomach. He could feel each bump and scar. Gemini groaned. It was warm in the castle, but it felt like a sauna for Gemini. He unbuttoned his blue striped pajama shirt and threw it on the ground. Gemini was topless, and Aries smiled softly when he saw Gemini's small baby bump. He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on his bump. Gemini giggled and ruffled Aries's hair.
