I ring the doorbell, hoping that Cody would answer before his parents. Thankfully Cody answers the door before they did, he welcomes me and takes me upstairs to his room. We sat in there for a bit lying on his bed, watching movies, and enjoying our time together. That was until his parents walked in. At first they didn't have any reaction until something clicked inside their heads. It started with the yelling then trying to hit Cody. I did my best to stop them from attacking him but they just aimed for me instead. I took a few hits to my face and body before collapsing on the floor. Feeling my body giving out I blacked out. Cody says he put his arms around me trying to protect me. They eventually left the room as they heard the sound of police sirens, apparently a neighbor overheard the yelling and called 911. The cops opened the door and went upstairs to check on the commotion, when they saw what happened to me they arrested Cody's parents. My mom decided it was best to press charges against them so now there's a court date pending. Until then Cody has been with us, along with his two cats.
