after you were unknowingly given to kafka by elio, you've gotten to know more about this strange girl that likes playing video games who's also a part of the stellaron hunters. however, the good times would not last for long.
Author's Note: this is just a kind of slice of life for Silver Wolf's childhood, from being adopted by the arcade owner all the way to her being a wanted fugitive from the IPC. This chapter has minimal affect on the overarching plot of the main story, and it's just for fun. A filler chapter, if you will. If you'd prefer to continue on with the main story, you're completely allowed to just skip this chapter.

Okay? Got all of that? Great, now onto the story.
Silver Wolf age: 7
It was Silver Wolf's first time manning the snack booth. Since she couldn't get Silver Wolf into a proper school, the owner thought she might as well have her help around the arcade every now and then. At that point, Silver Wolf could say some simple words, but not construct full sentences just yet. The owner had been homeschooling her whenever she wasn't working around the arcade.
As Silver Wolf was manning the snack booth, a customer appeared. It was another child. The child placed 5 credits on the counter and said: "One Twisters please!" The owner was beside Silver Wolf, observing her working. However, Silver Wolf, not understanding a word the child said, just gave them 5 Twister bags instead. The child got really surprised and happy, and the owner panicked and quickly stopped everything before it was too late.
Since the arcade has switched the working times to 12pm to 11pm, the owner decided to take the time in the morning to homeschool Silver Wolf. She tried sitting her down and teaching her slowly, but Silver Wolf would just run off and watch TV, anything but sit down at the table and listen to a lecture. But then, as the owner saw Silver Wolf looking at the TV and mimicking whatever it was the people in the TV were saying, she had an idea.
One day, when Silver Wolf woke up from bed, she saw something on the dinner table. It was a new device she's never seen before. She booted it up, and the device was similar to a gaming console, however the games on the device were learning games meant to teach children some basic skills, such as maths, science, grammar etc. She was incredibly fascinated by it, and played it for a very long time. There were takeaways from the table, so Silver Wolf ate those as she got hungry.
After what seems to be hours, the arcade owner could finally rest, and also check up on Silver Wolf to see how she's doing with her new 'gaming console'. However, as she opened the door that links the arcade basement to her home, she got really surprised at what she heard, almost like a jumpscare.
"Hello, woman. Where's dinner? I'm starving." Silver Wolf was laying chest down on the sofa, gaming away on her learning console.
The arcade owner left out a sigh, from both recovering from her jumpscare and also relief that her idea worked.
