I'm going to die. God, I'm going to die! The bottle rolled out of my hand. No no no no!

I hugged my burning stomach and gasped for air that would not come. My shaking hands could no longer grab the fabric on my wedding dress-They were practically limp.

I faced the ceiling, trying to fight the darkness that came for me through my tear-stained eyes. It must've been coming for me in my peripheral vision, because all I could see by the time I noticed was how the candlelight looked as warm as the sun.

And in my fading thoughts, I wondered what it would be like to touch the glowing sphere.

I couldn't reach up to find out.

My lungs wheezed out one last breath before my consciousness fell into the abyss.
