Baptiste wasn't the only one who made Lumi dismiss the plans to get involved with him permanently. The second great reason was his family. Parents, siblings, cousins... The whole fucking Argent sect.

There was no way she could make a mistake in the beginning. She was preparing with commitment for the first meeting with her beloved's family. She had set topics up for conversations and even gifts to please his relatives. And when that time came, she treated them with respect and modesty. And what about them? They thought it would be fun to use it against her since she was so rich and polite. There wasn't even any false kindness there, only revulsion towards her and penetrating her with hostile gazes that often make her feel nauseous. Even in what seemed like ordinary greetings and goodbyes, they used ambiguous words whose main purpose was to ridicule the girl. It has been like this all the time, from the beginning to that moment. Only hurtful jokes and compromising remarks. An insult and destruction of her dignity.

She didn't know what she had done to deserve such treatment. Didn't do anything to them that she would never want to happen to herself. So why did they mock her appearance, character and passion? Were they so terribly jealous of her successes and coming from a wealthy family, while they occupied a much lower position? Everyone at once? The exception was Baptiste, but she also had doubts about him after the first meetings. He didn't react enough to his partner getting insulted, and the worst thing was that he seemed to fall for those ''non-harmful'' texts like a clueless idiot. Didn't take matters into his own hands when Lumi confided in him about her impressions. After three attempts, she stopped asking him to take steps effectively when he kept saying the same sentences over and over again. Additionally, she noticed he was beginning to take on the characteristics of his family. She would say that returning to his hometown awakened the true Argent in him.

On the one hand, she became somewhat accustomed to these people's attitude towards her, but on the other hand, was still afraid of hurtful words and any attacks on her. She dreamed this nightmare would finally end. So that Baptiste would talk some sense into them and they would apologize to her on their knees. He himself too. She begged and prayed, but no one listened to her. She was losing faith in a better future for her relationship and self-esteem. Couldn't bear it all anymore and she felt like she would eventually burst.

It didn't take long for Baptiste to become a stranger. He was absent from home more and more often, where seemed dissatisfied with being with Lumi, but was happy to go to ''work''. As she found out, when decided to follow him a few times, Baptiste had a great time in casinos, expensive clubs and bars, where he was wasting Lumi's money. And she discovered what most guys in the world would never tell their partners, if they were sane. Although Baptiste was involved with Lumi, he did not refrain from picking up young ladies.

He rarely talked to her but contently to the company in which Lumi had no chance of finding her place. He didn't lift a finger to mention the planned future with his chosen one. All topics concerned matters with the Argents and businesses that the young Joestar had no idea about. He tried to talk to her about the same, but when noticed she wasn't interested in them, he turned away from her.

She felt useless to him. Her boyfriend was no longer the Baptiste she knew. He was taking her love, but giving his own in a small unit. The passion ended and a strange wall appeared between them. Lumi could only see the other side through some gaps, but that didn't help much. She couldn't get through to Baptiste. She fought for him but in vain. After his betrayals and lies, she should have broken up with this sucker a long time ago. But the truth is that although Lumi is a strong and self-sufficient girl, her heart towards the men she loves is tender.

It never occurred to anyone else that anything bad might be happening to Lumi. If only they knew how well she has learned to hide her dilemmas... And because of that they see her as a woman satisfied with everything who achieved love and success. During face-to-face conversations, she gave the impression of being joyful and untroubled by anything in her private or professional life. People, who respect, love and appreciate her fully, made her forget about the Argents and all her sorrows. Time and time again, they unawarely put together the pieces of her broken heart, but they weren't aware of the need to glue it back together. No one knew Lumi was stuck in a vicious circle.
