Time: Shortly after the chase on Lethal Highway
Couldn't say he was blinking because his eyelids were trembling on their own, but he finally succeeded and opened his eyes. Slowly moved his aching neck. He groaned, feeling the stiffness pulling at his muscles. Additionally, he felt strangely weak. Not like from heavy physical exertion or sitting for a long time over something tiring but as if something had sucked the energy out of him. He had felt it before... Not so long ago, actually."Sekblock..." mumbled, seeing the memory of the cartridge with the light yellow liquid before his eyes.
Managed to open his eyes fully, and what he saw made him fear for his life. He was in a small room filled with an unpleasant white brightness cast by simple ceiling lamps. The walls had a color of a gloomy gray. The same applied to the ceiling and the floor one shade darker. There was no furniture... or at least didn't notice any. Could be behind him, i.e. where he couldn't look. All he could see was a door that seemed to be an automatically opening one.
Why couldn't look behind him? He was sitting slightly tilted back in a chair, perfect for being blinded by the lights. His arms, legs and torso were tied with belts and metal bands, so he had no chance to change his position even for a bit. Tried to free himself from the latter, but they were too narrow for even one of his hands to squeeze through. Didn't want to use all the strength, which he lacked at the moment, as would probably tear his skin off rather than break the band.
Sighed heavily and looked around for anything, but nothing helped him find a way to get out or an answer to the question of where exactly he was. On the other hand, it was certain he had to be on Prison Island by now.
Noticed the scratches and injuries on his hands. They were still covered in blood and dirt, as were his clothes, which meant that no one had bothered to clean them. He also didn't feel like had any kind of bandage anywhere.
"Yeah... All the hospitality of GUN," mumbled.
Anon, reminded himself of Rouge and Omega, and also of Cornel. He was worried about them. For 100%, they had to be on Prison Island as well. The question was, what was happening to them now? Had GUN treated them the same way as him? Or maybe worse? He wanted to pray that they'd stay put and find a way to free themselves. As for those who had managed to escape, he was believing with all his might that the military had lost them from range.
Was much more concerned about Lumi. Silently begged inwardly for her not to be harmed. She must've been very scared. There was no way to communicate, no news, nothing. Just guesswork.
It was uncomfortably quiet. So quiet that all he could hear was his own heartbeat and breathing. It was arduous.
Couldn't count how much time had passed. Was about to start when the door slid open. A silhouette was standing on the other side, in semi-darkness which made it impossible for him to get a good look at it. When the figure entered the lit room, he saw a gray-haired man, dressed in a dark gray uniform with accents in other colors. The closer he got, the more Shadow could see one brown eye, and the other green. The man walked slowly, proudly straight, with hands behind his back. In the midway he had taken, the door was closed again. After a few more steps, he stopped and stared at the black-haired with a sinister and contemptuous gaze.
Shadow tried to look confident, no matter how much he feared the consequences of what would be next.
"Welcome back to Prison Island. I hope the room suits you."
"It isn't the same one I was first put in," he noticed.
"Congratulations on your deduction. You could have easily escaped from there, but here..." his voice changed to one filled with terror, "these walls will kill you if you use your power. The guards are watching your every move, breathing and heart rate. They will react if they consider you doing something threatening."
