In July there had been this raffle to decide which university would host the banquet. Blackwell had won. Naomi wasn't so sure that was actually a win but she moved on from that thought. They got on the bus the morning of with all ten of the foxes, their two adults and the two dates. Nicky had asked someone random that Naomi would never care to learn the name of. Neil had refused to really take Katelyn but Naomi brought her anyway as her quasi date.
It worked. Seeing as she was going with Aaron and he was on the team but not everyone knew about it, she could bring Katelyn and lie.
It worked a little too well because as soon as Katelyn got on the bus the foxes started exchanging money. They all thought that Aaron was bringing her.
Naomi had openly laughed at them, gotten a weird look from Matt for the reaction but she just waved her hand and kept on laughing about it. Allison had pointed refused to say she lost the bet because Naomi and Aaron were still also going together. Her argument of a throuple date worked fine so she also got payed too much money.
Another bet around Katelyn was for how Andrew would react. It was the only bet that Naomi had participated in. She earned herself a good six hundred when Andrew refused to do more than look through Katelyn.
They were all suckers who would never understand how the drugs only outwardly changed Andrew.
A third bet was brought up at some point on the bus, this one Naomi quickly shut down. They wondered if the throuple date counted as Naomi being bisexual. She had screamed at Nicky, tried to claw his face off, and was held back by Aaron for even having a bet on that. So she ended it. She told them that she didn't swing, like her brother, and that it was a real thing, so look it up, but she liked a boy. It shut them up well enough.
It also shut up Naomi because the second she said it she realized it was true. She hadn't even really noticed but she knew her brand of lying well enough to know she wasn't. She...well she did like a boy. That was the messy part, wasn't it? That was what she'd talked about with Andrew.
As they got closer Naomi shut herself off from people more. She kept looking back at Kevin and Neil. Going to Blackwell was fine in theory but the problem was who else would be at Blackwell.
Riko Moriyama hadn't seen the Foxes in a while at this point but Naomi knew crazy well enough that he'd probably been dreaming of seeing them. He would be dreaming of how to remind Kevin he wasn't a man of his own. He'd be dreaming of how to put Neil in his place. He'd be dreaming of reminding Andrew and Naomi they couldn't do anything against him at all.
It didn't take long to spot the Ravens bus. Naomi froze as much as possible for someone who wasn't even moving.
Aaron placed a hand on her shoulder and followed her eyes, openly confused. It would make sense for Kevin to be nervous but not for her. The problem was, Naomi knew that Riko would have something on them and she couldn't calm the thought.
When they pull to a full stop Wymack tells everyone to get off. Naomi waves a hand at Aaron and Katelyn so they get off together, which probably isn't going to help the rumors of them being together.
She hears more than sees Kevin being handed a bottle of vodka that he has ten seconds to chug. If Naomi weren't drowning a little she'd probably make some remark about how he'd need more than that to survive a night of Riko but Naomi is seconds away from stealing the bottle.
When she finally managed to get off the bus, after Neil gave her a look to tell her how strange she was being and Andrew grabbed her arm, she found Katelyn already holding her surprise dress.
