Naomi Josten knows it's a really bad idea. The worst idea she's ever had, actually, and she'll probably end up dead. She does it anyway.
When Naomi and Neil Josten signed with the Palemtto Foxes she had expected them to up and run before October, bu...
"Will you shut the hell up?" She snapped viciously, mumbling as they stumbled across the street. Her shoulders were tensed and she had little patience for his antics. Like normal. "I'm trying to think and your breathing is too loud."
"I am so sorry for continuing to breathe," he quips back, she knows he's smirking. She refuses to look at his dumb face.
She sighs and stops in front of the public library, a frown contorting her features for a few seconds. Her eyes travel over to the boy beside her, he looks a little nervous. Cagey in a way they aren't supposed to be in public, she tugs on a lock of his brown hair. "Calm down, Abram. This town has mostly senior citizens, we have an alibi, papers say we're 18 and I have more than a year's supply of contacts."
He punches out a breath and looks at her, he's always been more affected by starting in new places than her. She didn't leave places well. To each their own. His eyes have been dim since they were in California and she can't blame him for it. After all, Abram had been the one to sit on the beach until the fire ended, not her. She had hiked to the nearest convenience store and gotten supplies.
When he nods, she grabs his hand and they enter the library together to comb through some of the town books. It's always the first step on more long term places, figure out if, when or where there may be tourists. Second step is usually find a place to sleep, but they can worry about that later.
"Just until graduation," He mumbles to her as she reaches for a book on German vocab, she wants to freshen them up just in case. "I mean it Amelie, we have to leave after."
"Stop pissing me off and I'll steal an Exy mag at the corner store," she whispers at him, completely irate with his need to be paranoid at all times.
It's not his fault, though, that's what eight years on the run gets you. A dead mother, bodies scared more than a child walking in on their parents and world class paranoia. Amelie just wishes she could get Abram to calm down with something that isn't Exy, just thinking of the game makes a pit in her stomach grow.

so, i read one aaron x oc fic and decided i needed to write my own. plus i couldn't find any other ones and took matters into my own hands (if anyone knows any, lmk)
this is obviously based on the store of aftg, it follows the plots mostly exclusively and the only things i really wrote are naomi's dialogues and scenes that don't appear in the books it goes pretty hard into a lot of the topics in the books and follows the storylines pretty truly so any trigger warning associated with this fandom is here as well
