3: Date

- ♤ Jade's POV ♤ -
(Present : Monday Afternoon)

When I got home it was 2:47pm. I opened the door to my house and I wasn't surprised to find my drunk father passed out on the couch as usual.

As I passed by him thinking he was asleep, his eyes shot open and he grabbed me by the arm, "Aye what's up baby, where you been?"

"School, something you wouldn't know about." I said as I snatched my arm away from him and walked away to my room.

I heard him behind me saying, "Aww baby, why you so cold?"

I slammed my door shut and locked it shouting, "Leave me alone!"

I then layed down on my bed and let out a deep sigh. I'm just at the point of where I'm sick and tired of my dad's abuse, behavior, and just him in general.

I actually have a dream of joining the basketball team, but with all these scars, I'm not even sure if I can.

I let out one last sigh and flipped onto my stomach as I pulled my phone out from under my pillow.

Jadeasavage - lmao, sure.

I almost dropped my phone on my face as I finished sending the last text and sat up straight taking a deep breath. I pinched myself making sure this was reality.

This really was happening...

I smiled a little and got up off my bed looking at my alarm clock. It was 3:57pm.

I went over to my closet and decided to dress like I usually dress.

I threw on a white Nike cap, a white T-shirt with a gold chain. Some, acid washed jeans and these purple nike shoes that my dad brought me last Christmas. And last but not least, I slid on my diamond studs also spraying on some versace cologne.

Jadeasavage - Tell me when you're here so I can open the door.

I texted her making sure my dad won't open it instead.

Once, I read that text my heart sped up a bit and I grabbed my wallet stuffing it into my back pocket as I headed out.

When, I made it to my living room my dad was knocked out on the couch, and this time for sure because when I passed by he didn't budge a bit. All, I heard were muffled snores coming from him causing me to take a deep breath. I stepped out and locked the door behind me.

And, when I turned around me and Jasmine's eyes met, both of us shocked as we eyed each other down. Our outfits were identical besides Jasmine's shirt had a design reading "Los Angeles".

I laughed and walked over to her, "You stalkin' me now?"

"You wish." She smirked. "You look amaaaazing by the way. Rocking my own fit, better than I ever could."

I then rolled my eyes but, couldn't help but smile as she opened the door for me, "Thanks, Jas."

She climbed into the driver's seat turning on the ignition. She pulled out my driveway and we were on our way.
