{Time skip It was the full moon}

*We hear lightning strike*

"You got it Lolo," Mae says looking at me and giving me motivation "You've been muttering the incantion in your sleep in you are the smartest witch of our year" 

"Mae" I say softly they nod at me as they know I'm asking them to let me concentrate I open the vial and I uncork the vial it's blood red I blink as I tip it up and take a small sip then finishing it "Amato Animo Animato Animagus" I chanted the incantion loud over top of the lightning 

"Amato Animo Animato Animagus" I chanted again and again making sure my heart does a twing thing. Opening my eyes I wasn't standing on my legs I was standing on all fours. Looking up at Mae my best friend as they smiles and pets me "You're such a pretty arctic fox love" I come back to my human form "Holy shit" I say with a smile "Holy shit indeed Lolo you did it like I told you" They smile and hugging me. "To bad regulus can't see it" I sigh and sit on the bed "He's with you know who" Mae says softly "I know I miss him" Saying with a soft smile. 

"Let's go to a party!" Mae giggles "Get you cheered up dance and hang out with some friends that we haven't seen in a while" They suggest "That sounds great what should I wear especially with you know" I roll up my sleeve "That" 

Mae sticks their tongue out slightly as they think. "I got it" They say going through my trunk finding a leather black penicl skirt they lay out my chunky fishnets a long sleeve black shirt then pairs it with a white half corset that hugs around my waist then grabbing thick white socks and pair the outfit with my doc martins. "You know, I love you're creative mind when it comes to dressing me" I giggle starting to change my clothes. 

"What should I wear?" They ask "Slacks obviously and you do the opposite of me do a thick white long sleeve and a half black corset I have that in my trunk" I smile as I tuck the long sleeve t-shirt in my skirt. Lacing the corset up my back. I add acessories by the time I'm done Mae is ready and smiling "There's that smile i've been missing" I say hugging them. 

The smile softly "Lets go and distract ourselves" They say as we giggle walking down to the slytherin common room and behind the fireplace as we walk through the secret passage "You know" Mae starts "Hm?" I say softly giving them my attention "We are a badass pair of best friends you know that right?" They say "Obviously" I giggle but there face falls serious "Then why do we feel so weak in this fight?" They ask me I sigh as I been asking myself the same question I stop dead in my tracks "It's because this thing we can't control."I quip 

"Exactly..." They say in such a way it makes me feel like they are planning something 

"Whats going on in the genius brain of yours." I ask them it seems like they are trying to calcualate what they are trying to say in their head before it comes out in a sentence.

"Tom's weakness we need to find it and take it however we need to get close to him then cut him off betray him" They smirk "I agree we need to make a trip to the restricted section" I nod "I love how we are on the same wave length" They say "Lets get a drink then go on a secret randovo can we get past the other prefects?" They ask... I look at my watch "Off duty the dumbasses go back to their dorms around 11:30 it's 11:35 now drink then we can sneak in through the secret passage way to the library" I say my plan forming we make it to the party in the astromony tower. We go to the Bar and both get a mocktail I make sure to watch the bartender carefully. 

"Too seeking information" Mae says raising their mocktail "Too seeking information" I clinked their glass as we take a drink of the juice it was a pleasant taste. We dance for a little bit enjoying our time forgetting slightly what was going on in our lives but there was something stirring in me.

 "Shit Mae" I say softly "Hm?" They say giving me there attention "I have an idea of the weaknesses" I say confidently "Then lets go so you can explain whats going on" They say with a smirk. 

We leave the party dashing back to common room going up to my room shutting the door and putting a charm over the room to make it sound proof "I love magic" I say "Okay what are you thinking"

"I remember something out of a book I was reading a year ago" I say pacing back and forth "Shit it seems far fetched but I think he's wanting to try to split his soul to make himself unstoppable." I explain 

"You know it doesn't seem crazy" Mae says with a huge grin "I know what we need to look for in the restricted section Mae." 

{Time skip} 

It's been a week since we heard from Regulus, I start to get anxious this is the longest that I haven't heard from him he usually writes to give us updates but this is different he sent a letter out to his professors saying something at home had came up and needed to be there. I sigh into another book that we had theived from the library. 

"Aboustley fucking nothing" I slam the book shut startling Mae "I'm sorry" I say frustrated I get up and stretch my legs. "Need a break?" Mae asks I nod "I need to stretch my legs" I say with a soft smile 

"Wanna go terrorize first years?" They ask I shake my head no "Lets go run around the grounds" I say with a smile "Race you to the whomping willow" 

Mae turns into her animal form shortly I turn into mine. As we race to the tree. The beautiful tree that is so deadly that the only thing that can get past it is animals. Running as fast as my white fox form can take me and I make it to the Whomping willow keeping up with how fast Mae was "Damn you kept up well Lolo" They say as they sit on the bed in the Shrieking Shack. 

"I try" I say giggling as I sit next to them... "Mae I'm so anxious" I say softly "I know Lolo I know" 

"What if he gets caught" I say softly "He won't he's a lot sneakier with his family he'll be fine" They reassure me and hug me. Emotion rips through my throat as I cry on their shoulder to let go all of the frustration and just sob worry for my partner worried about if he gets caught we get caught and we are too young to die not now... we are fucking teenagers. 

A/n Damn another update from Nat look at me gooooo this one has been hard for me to write because I didn't know how to write the animgus part but my writers block has fucked off it seems I'm off the rest of this week of school due to snow maybe you all will get more! Enjoy love Nat.
