I walked into the house and saw Michael sitting at the bar, head in his arms. "Hey babe." I smiled as I walked over to him, "Hey." He mumbled. "You alright?" I asked and he shook his head, "I'm an idiot." He groaned. "Well yeah, but what's wrong?" I chuckled, "I ate too much cake." He moaned, "And now my tummy hurts." I noticed the cake on the counter with a big piece missing. I picked him up and he wrapped his legs around my waist and arms around my neck, "C'mon tummy trouble." I chuckled and walked upstairs to the bedroom. I laid him down on the bed and got under the covers next to him, I unbuttoned his flannel and rubbed his belly, he snuggled into my chest and kissed my neck, then my jawline and cheek, then pecking my lips and putting his head back down on the pillow. "I love you." He mumbled sleepily, "I love you too." I smiled and he smiled back, a quiet snore emitted from his parted lips and I took my hand off his tummy, pulling the covers over him and wrapping my arms around him, falling asleep with Michael in my arms.
