The day has finally come.
The day I've dreamed of since I was a little girl who would stand in front of the tv and watch Barbie movies, just merely wishing I could experience a ball.
The masquerade ball was underway.
I was getting a ride by Julian with Lori.
Finishing my last curl, I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. I was excited, maybe I would meet a boy there! Maybe some new friends! Whatever the outcome of tonight was, I was excited either way.
I applied more gloss over my maroon lipstick. I needed it to shine a little bit at least!
Grabbing my mask from my vanity I was just sitting at, I head over to my door and exit my room.
Raiden was still getting ready, since I can hear music coming from his room. My heels clicking on the hardwood floor as I made my way downstairs, picking up the bottom of my dress so I wouldn't step on it and trip down the stairs.
"Claire!" Lori squeals, holding up her dress a little and quickly walks over to me. "You look gorgeous!" She stated with a huge smile on her face.
She made a circle emotion towards the floor with her finger to give her a twirl. I did just that, giggling with her in the process.
"Navy is your color, Lori. Come on give me a spin!" I did the same motion with my hand.
She had a gorgeous navy blue dress that had a slit on the left side, stopping mid thigh. It had a square necklace and an open back. She was wearing black rhinestoned heel and her hair was in a fancy voluminous bun with her bangs out and curled.
We headed out the front door to the SUV where Julian was waiting for us, door open.
We get into the back and headed out to the venue.

The venue was gorgeous.
The inside was full of people wearing their best gowns and elaborate masks. There were tables located in a different part of the ballroom, off to the side away from the dance floor, with tons of food and drinks.
There was a huge grand staircase to access the upper levels of the venue; bathrooms, private rooms, etc.
Lori and I, after finally putting on our masks in the bathroom, make our way back down the stairs onto the main ballroom floor.
The DJ was playing a popular song but I separate from Lori, B-lining straight for the food table. I was absolutely starving!
I picked out an empty table and sat down with my little cocktail plate of snacks.
A man wearing a plain black mask walks over to me, he was a tall, skinny build. So definitely not Raiden or Elijah, using process of elimination.
"Well hello ma'am," he greets, a smile on his face. I smile back looking up at him, mouth closed as I was still chewing my mini sandwich.
"What's your name? I've never seen you at one of these parties before." He yells over the loud music, I cover my mouth and raise a finger, quickly finishing my food.
"Here, take a seat." I shout, motioning to the chair next to me. "I'm Claire, I work for the Di Marco's." I informed the man.
He has a woodsy scent to him, also a slight accent but I can't figure out what exactly it is yet.
He grabs my hand, placing a light kiss onto my knuckles, "I'm Dean Gray, a long time friend of the Di Marco brothers." I feel my cheeks get all red and warm.
I've never done anything with a man before let alone get greeted like girls do in movies. Of course I would be blushing. This man was cute, from what I could tell, and smelled amazing. Not to mention his British accent, chefs kiss.
"I'm surprised they didn't say anything about a new comer to the gang." He comments, slowly taking my hand away from his mouth but not letting go.
We talked for what felt like hours, my glass of champagne has been empty forever now and my food long gone.
"Let's go upstairs where it's more, quiet?" He asked, standing up from the chair next to me. I nodded and began to follow closely behind Dean.
Going up the red carpet that was laid over the steps on the staircase, we went upstairs and into another room.
