Lori and I were adding the final designs to the party invites in my room, did you know it takes five hours to design something with this girl?!
"So since we made the invitations gold and black, that's the colors our masks should have on them!" She clapped as if it was a genius idea. I laughed at her antics and nodded, sure why not.
Finally finished, we emailed them out to everyone Elijah sent me to invite.
Now it was time to go shopping for a mask and dress with Erin and my new personal bodyguard, who might I add has been in his room all day. Ever since the meeting yesterday evening he's been in there actually.
I got changed after Lori left to find Edithe. I put on a black turtleneck body con dress, rhinestoned fishnets, a black over coat, and some knee high boots. I grabbed my black quilted Tory Burch bag and went to leave my room. A few feet away from my door, it opened after three heavy knocks came from the opposite side.
It was Raiden.
He stopped, my door wide open. He slowly looked me up and down, he let out a breath.
I took him in as well, his masculine scent flooding into my room, wearing a black collared button up, with some of the top buttons undone, loosely tucked into a pair of black suit pants. His same chain around his neck with his grandmothers ring, glistening in the sunlight that came from my bedroom windows. He had a black over coat on, he looked very mysterious, I wanted to uncover his secrets.
His eyes came back to mine, a smile tugging at his lips, "Wow school girl," he whispered softly. I could feel a smile forming, "You finally got rid of your school uniform?" He asked in a playful tone.
The smile that was forming now long gone.
I sucked my teeth, then smacked him with my bag before pushing him out of my way to meet Erin downstairs.
"You couldn't just compliment me once Raiden, huh? Too much for your ego?" I sassed, a chuckle escaped his mouth.
"Woah Claire, hottie hottie!" Erin wooed at me, fanning herself. I laughed at her comment and we hugged one another. She was slightly taller than me, even when I had heeled boots on. Her red hair in loose beach waves as she wore a tan ribbed long sleeve top, a plaid pencil skirt and black pantyhose with the same red bottom heels she wore when we first met.
She noticed Raiden behind me as we stepped out of our embrace, "Raiden? Hey." Her face showed surprise and confusion.
"Erin." He acknowledged her with a slight head tip , his hands neatly behind his back.
Who ever this Raiden was meant business. Stood on business.
"I thought you hated shopping? Why are you all dressed up?" She wondered, "Hot date?" Her eye brows raised.
A laugh escaped his soft lips and shook his head.
"No, Rick thought it was a good idea for him to be my personal bodyguard when I go out, so here we are." I informed her.
She looked away from me and up at Raiden, who shrugged.
Honestly I was still just as confused as Raiden was with Rick's choice of this but I was trying to make it work. I was trying to not be as sassy but it didn't help when he still pushed my buttons.

"Oh my god, yes!" Erin begged, bouncing up and down slightly with excitement as I looked at the black halter top gown I had on. I was looking at myself in the mirror I was standing in front of.
Raiden was standing guard at the front door of the shop we were at while Erin and I were at the opposite end of the store at the changing rooms.
The dress fit like a glove, it was absolutely stunning. It tied around the back of my neck, it had an open back and a huge dip in the front, showing off a tasteful amount of cleavage that Erin said would melt Raiden if he saw me.
